Day 5 Task: Make a list of the 10 most important events that you have studied so far this year in your social studies class. There is no right or wrong answer, but you must explain the importance of each event you choose.

Day 6 Task: Create a timeline of the ten most important events from the previous activity. First, create even time segments and then place your events and dates on the timeline. Next, draw a symbol or image to represent the event. Then, make a title for your timeline.

Day 7 Task: Review your list of ten events. Determine which ONE of the ten events is the most important event or had the greatest impact on society. Again, there is no right or wrong answer. Develop a clear and concise claim that you support with reasoning and evidence from your prior learning in class. Present your argument in complete sentences and multi-paragraph format on a separate sheet of paper or word document.

*After completing your written response, underline your claim(s) and put a star next to each piece of evidence.

Day 8 Task: Create an infographic that explains the significance of the ONE event you believe was most important. Read the following information for tips on how to create your infographic.

graphic format and are designed to make the data easily understandable at a glance.

• Infographics quickly communicate a message, simplify the presentation of large amounts of data, illuminate patterns and relationships, and monitor changes over time. 

• Infographics are everywhere! Traffic signs, subway maps, tag clouds, musical scores and weather charts are just a few examples, among a huge number of possibilities

• The process of creating infographics is sometimes referred to as data visualization.

• Get creative with magazine cutouts, markers, whatever you can imagine and create one by hand!
