Virtual Training
Introduction – Slickline Virtual Training presents a number of challenges which are inherent to the method of training, such as trainer / trainee communication, direct feedback, visual assessments of understanding and the planning and implementation of practical exercises amongst others and it is our prime intention to develop and deliver a training with processes and methods which are aimed at mitigating these issues.
To this end we have prepared the following document outlining the technical training setup requirements in sections 1, 2 & 3. Sections 4 & 5 provide a list of training subjects in two categories, basic and advanced, which can be selected.

A Senior Supervisor / Manager present for all training sessions, tasked with managing the training sessions, controlling trainees, to ensure time keeping and trainee engagement with remote trainers

Practical Training Supervisor
A Senior Supervisor, experienced in field operations to demonstrate the tools and equipment, according to the planned training exercised, who will supervise the trainees during the practical exercises, who will ensure the correct PPE, safe workshop practices and work techniques are adopted throughout the practical training sessions

Trainee Assessments
The Training Supervisor should assess the performance of each trainee record the assessments in accordance with the company’s training procedures

Practical Training - Equipment
In order the maximise the potential benefits of the practical training it will require the availability of the equipment and downhole tools that are typically used in the field operation for the planned Practical Training Sessions. The appropriate hand tools and service tools should also be available along with workshop facilities including work benches and vices

Practical Training - Trainer Overview
In order to assess the benefit and effectiveness of the classroom sessions and their application in the practical training sessions it is very beneficial for the (remote) Trainer to be able to view all practical training sessions and judge trainee performance during each practical training task

Manuals, Procedures, Standards
Relevant Company manuals, procedures and standards should be made available to the trainer, these will be used to ensure the training modules are in compliance, follow and meet the Company’s standards and procedures

Completion Diagrams, Typical Operations
Typical completion diagrams for the types of wells and examples of the types of Slickline operations that are conducted should be made available to ensure that the training modules are relevant to the Client’s operation and equipment used

Meeting Room
SLK-C will rent a meeting room in a local hotel to obtain access to a guaranteed, stable & uninterrupted internet connection with sufficient bandwidth to be able to run all proposed services

Virtual Training Equipment
All equipment will be supplied, computers, cameras, microphones, overhead projects, white boards etc.
3.4
Training Module Preparation
Presentations will be to the Clients preferred Training Subjects selections and to meet the course length
3.5
Practical Training Session Preparation
Practical Training Sessions will be based upon the Client’s tool usage and operations as indicated by the Client. Task sheets will be prepared to guide the trainees through the assigned tasks to ensure they are meeting the required levels of understanding of the tools and equipment and able to demonstrate the required competences to perform the assigned tasks

Quizzes / Homework
Each morning the Trainees will be given a 10 question quiz on the previous day’s classroom activity, the quiz will be reviewed upon completion. There will be homework given to the trainees at appropriate times during the course and a final last day 30 or 50 question quiz and which will used in assessing performance

Certificates
At the end of the Training Course each Trainee will receive a certificate of successful course completion

Personnel - Trainer / SME
The Trainer will be responsible for the delivery of the training to the trainees, setting the pace of the training, determining the subject focus, dealing with questions and queries from the trainees and reviewing all practical sessions

Personnel - IT Engineer
The IT Engineer’s responsibilities will include, but not limited to running and maintaining of the equipment used during the classroom training sessions, ensuring continuous connectivity to the trainees and ensuring the highest possible quality of the visual and audio transmissions is maintained throughout the training course
3.10
Personnel - SME
The SME is responsible, in conjunction with the Trainer, for the development of the subject matter presentations designed to meet the Client’s preferred subject selection. In addition he is responsible for developing the selected Practical session subjects bespoke task sheets along with the daily quizzes and final course exam
