Thank you very much for your purchase of our SHARP electric jay pot.
For proper and effective use of the electric jar pot, please read this manual carefully before
use. Make sure to keep this manual for reference.

Usage Precautions
Please read these warnings and cautions carefully before use and your safety. Please follow
strictly.
Warnings
1. Before connecting the plug to the body examine if anything is stuck with it. Remove
before plugging.
2. To disconnect plug, do not pull the power supply cord. Detach the plug from the wall
receptacle.
3. Do not immerse the body in water; it may cause electric leakage or damage of the
electric jar pot.
4. Do not put ice, or pour milk, liquor, tea or other liquid into the inner pot other than
water.
5. Keep out of reach of children when the electric jar pot is tipped down and hot water
spills out. Do not children suck at spout. Set the safety knob at “STOP” position after
using.
6. Do not put the electric jar pot on the edge of table as it may fall down and cause
damage.
7. Do not put the electric jar pot on a wet floor, close to the wall or near the gas stove.
8. Do not cover the steam outlet with a towel. Otherwise, the hot water may spill over or
the shape of the lid may change.
9. Do not press the push button while boiling because hot water may rush and splash.
10. Do not put your hand over the steam outlet.
11. In case the power cord is broken, it must be replaced with a specialized power cord or
the standard power cord made by SHARP service providers.
12. Do not repair the electric jar pot by yourself. It may cause damage or accident such as
fire or electric shock.
13. Never connect the plug with your wet hand as there may be danger from electric
leakage.
Cautions
1. Do not fill water above the “Full” level; the water may spill out from the spout when
boiling.
2. Do not boil water below the “Refill” level as it may lead to damage.
3. Close the lid firmly during boiling; otherwise, the electric jar pot may not work
properly and may be damaged.
4. Do not open the lid when boiling because hot steam may burn.
5. Often examine the power supply cord, the defective power supply cord or plug may
cause electric shock or burning fire.
6. Move the electric jar pot by handle only.
How to Use
Make sure that the rated voltage is 220V only before use.
For the first use, boil water and pour out by pressing down the push button many times to let
hot water out through spout. After that, pour out the remaining water, clean inner pot and lid
carefully.
Fill water in the inner pot
1. Set the safety knob at “STOP” position.
2. Pushing the latch button to open the lid.
3. Pour water within the range of “Full” level and do not spatter water to the body.
4. Push down the lid until a “click” sound is heard.
Boiling water and keeping warm
1. Connect the plug to the body. (Be sure it is firmly connected.)
2. Insert the plug into the wall receptacle.
3. When the plug is inserted into the wall receptacle, the “BOIL” indicator lamp lights
up. Then the electric jar pot starts boiling.
4. When boiling is finished, the “BOIL” indicator lamp goes off and changes to
“WARM”. The electric jar pot automatically changes to keep water hot as long as
power is connected. The average temperature of hot water is 90 C, then gradually
goes down to 85 C. Thus, the electric jar hot automatically boils again.
Notes
Color of inner pot may be changed depending on water quality. Use clean
water.
Sounds are emitted during the boiling and warming, but this is normal.
Pour hot water
1. Set the safety knob at “POUR” position and push down the push button to pour hot
water.
2. After pouring hot water, set the safety knob at “STOP” position.
After Using
1. Disconnect the plug from the wall receptacle.
2. When after using the electric jar, pour out the remaining water. If the water is left in
the inner pot, it dreg may deposit and cause corrosion.
Removing the Lid
1. Push latch button found in the front part of the lid, then open the lid.
2. Shift the lid forward and lift it, after that it opens.
Feature
The electric jar pot is a combination of water bottle and warmer in one. The water volume
can be checked at the water level indicator on the body. The inner pot is made from safety
stainless steel.
Cleaning and Care
Before cleaning, make sure to disconnect the plug, pour out the remaining water and cool
down the body. Do not use polishing powder, hard brush, thinner, alcohol or other solvent;
otherwise, the surface may be damaged or discolored.
Soak a soft cloth in water, squeeze properly and wipe body, lid and handle carefully.
Inner pot should be cleaned every week with a soaking sponge with water. After that,
rub the inside of the inner pot carefully. Rinse and drain sufficiently with water.
When the inner pot was discolored.
1. Mix vinegar with water (1:1), pour the mixer water up to the “Full” level of the inner
pot and let it boils.
2. After boiling for one hour, then pour out the mixer water as usual.
3. Soak a sponge with water and rub the inner pot carefully. Rinse with water until
vinegar smell goes out.
4. After cleaning, fill water up to “Full” level and let it boils, then pour out the water as
usual before regular use.
