1.4.2 Product Data: Manufacturer's data sheets on each product shall be used, including:1.4.2.1 Literature indicating typical panel, pilaster, door, hardware, and fastening.1.4.2.2 Preparation instructions and recommendations.1.4.2.3 Storage and handling requirements and recommendations.1.4.2.4 Installation and Maintenance methods.

1.4.3 Shop Drawings:1.4.3.1 Dimensioned plans indicating layout of toilet compartments.1.4.3.2 Dimensioned elevations indicating heights of doors, pilasters, separation

partitions, and other components; indicate locations and sizes of openings in compartment separation partitions for toilet and bath accessories to be installed in partitions; indicate floor and ceiling clearances.

1.4.3.3 Details indicating anchoring components (bolt layouts) and methods for project conditions; indicate components required for installation, but not supplied by toilet compartment manufacturer.

1.4.4 Selection Samples: For each finish product specified, one complete set of color selection guides representing manufacturer's full range of available colors, textures and patterns.

1.4.5 Verification Samples: For each finish product specified, two samples, minimum size 6 inches (150 mm), representing actual product, color, texture and pattern.

1.4.6 LEED Green Building Rating System: Submit manufacturer's documentation of recycled content, in accordance with LEED credit calculations.

1.4.7 Manufacturer's Certificates: Certify products meet or exceed specified requirements.

1.4.8 Touch-Up Paint: Provide 1 ounce of matching color for field touch-up of powder coated finish.

1.5 QUALITY ASSURANCE

1.5.1 Manufacturers Qualifications: Minimum 5 year experience manufacturing similar products.

1.5.2 Installer Qualifications: Minimum 2 year experience installing similar products.

1.5.3 Products and installation shall comply with:1.5.3.1 American Disability Association Standards.1.5.3.2 ANSI A117.1.1.5.3.3 International Code Council - Fire Rating.1.5.3.4 Uniform Federal Accessibilities Standards.

1.6 PRE-INSTALLATION MEETINGS

1.6.1 Convene minimum of two weeks prior to starting work of this section.

1.7 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING

1.7.1 Deliver, store and handle materials and products in strict compliance with manufacturer's instructions and recommendations and industry standards.

1.7.2 Store products indoors in manufacturer's original containers and packaging, with labels clearly identifying product name and manufacturer. Protect from damage.

1.7.3 Lay cartons flat, with adequate support to ensure flatness and to prevent damage to pre-finished surfaces.

1.7.4 Do not store where ambient temperature exceeds 120 degrees F (49 degrees C).

1.8 PROJECT CONDITIONS

1.8.1 Maintain environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, and ventilation) within limits recommended by manufacturer for optimum results. Do not install products under environmental conditions outside manufacturer's recommended limits.

1.8.2 Do not deliver materials or begin installation until building is enclosed, with complete protection from outside weather, and building temperature maintained at a minimum of 60 degrees F (15.6 degrees C).

1.9 SEQUENCING

1.9.1 Ensure that products of this section are supplied to affected trades in time to maintain construction schedule.

1.10 WARRANTY

1.10.1 Manufacturers Standard Warranty For Powder Coated Steel Material: When properly maintained, a one-year warranty against all defects in workmanship and construction under normal wear and use of this product.

1.10.2 Manufacturers Standard Warranty For Stainless Steel Material: When properly maintained, a ten-year warranty against all defects in workmanship and construction under normal wear and use of this product.

A polished 3 inches (76 mm) high stainless steel shoe of one-piece construction, matching pilaster profile, shall be supplied to conceal floor anchoring. Tamper proof shoe assembly held in place by concealed floor anchor clips - exposed screws are not acceptable.

2.5.6 Material and Finish:2.5.6.1 The core material of Doors, Panels and Pilasters shall be constructed of 45-lb

density, resin-impregnated particle board having flat, smooth surface characteristics. A decorative plastic laminate is then bonded under pressure to core material with a non-toxic, water resistant adhesive. No splices or joints in facing or core are acceptable.

2.5.6.2 Components shall have edge and face surfaces covered with high pressure, .048 thick (general purpose grade) decorative plastic laminate that meets or exceeds NEMA standards for resistance to wear, burns and moisture.

2.5.7.2 Doors: Equipped with AAMCO "Duraglide" hinge sets.2.5.7.2.1 Upper and lower door brackets are heavy non-ferrous Zamac castings with

chrome-plated finish. Brackets are installed within factory pre-formed notches.

2.5.7.2.2 Top hinge bracket (#102PL) is a heavy, non-ferrous Zamac casting with chrome-plated finish. One-piece design has a 5/8 inch (16mm) wrap-around flange that fits over the pilaster edge for maximum durability.

2.5.7.2.3 Stainless steel 3/8 inch (9.5 mm) diameter pin (#101PL) goes through the door and the top hinge bracket for three-point bearing.

2.5.7.2.4 Bottom hinge bracket (#103PL) is a heavy, non-ferrous Zamac casting with chrome-plated finish. One-piece design has a 5/8 inch (16mm) wrap-around flange that fits over pilaster edge for maximum durability. Door operates on a stainless steel pintle and opposing nylon cams that are fully recessed and concealed within the lower door bracket. The gravity activated cam assembly provides easy adjustment of door permitting it to rest at any desired open or fully closed position when not latched.

2.5.7.2.5 Surface mounted slide latch (#104PL) is heavy, non-ferrous Zamac casting with chrome plated finish.

2.5.7.2.6 Door strike and keeper (#105PL) is a heavy, non-ferrous Zamac casting with chrome-plated finish. One-piece design has a 5/8 inch (16mm) wrap-around flange that fits over pilaster edge for maximum durability.

2.5.7.2.7 Combination coat hook and bumper (#106) is a heavy, non-ferrous Zamac casting with chrome-plated finish.

2.5.7.3 Wall and Pilaster Brackets:2.5.7.3.1 Shall be heavy, non-ferrous Zamac castings with chrome-plated finish. The

wall anchored pilasters and dividing partition panels shall be attached with two brackets of either double ear or single ear design depending on existing wall condition. Dividing partition panels shall be attached to the "rear" pilaster face with two "U" brackets.

3 EXECUTION

3.1 EXAMINATION

3.1.1 Do not begin installation until substrates have been properly prepared.

3.1.2 If substrate preparation is the responsibility of another installer, notify Architect of unsatisfactory preparation before proceeding.

3.2 PREPARATION

3.2.1 Clean surfaces thoroughly prior to installation.

3.2.2 Prepare surfaces using the methods recommended by the manufacturer for achieving the best result for the substrate under the project conditions.

3.3 INSTALLATION

3.3.1 Install in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and in proper relationship with adjacent construction.3.3.1.1 Installation shall be in accordance with manufacturer's approved shop drawing

and installation instructions with partitions being rigid plumb, straight and level. Unless stated otherwise doors and panels shall be 58 inches (1473 mm) high and mounted 12 inches (305 mm) above finished floor.
