Read 20 minutes per day. Focus Skill: Finger tracking. Use your finger to point to each word as you read.

You should be out of baggy books. If not, read what you have left. If you are out of new baggy books, reread old baggy books for fluency. The kids should read with expression while using their finger to track each word.

TUESDAY 1.) Math- Money: Identifying Coin Values. Do worksheets 171 & 173. Cut out the coins on page 171. Use these coins to show the amount for each price tag on page 173. Take the remaining coins and group by value. Now count their value to see how much money you have! 2.) Reading- Listen to the story Simon and Molly plus Hester. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ve9KursYAT03.) Writing – Talk about a time you made a new friend. Was your experience like Simon and Molly’s? Did your new friend get along with your old friend? Write about it! 4.) Since we do not have any more baggy books, please reread some of the baggy books we have previously read or select a book you have at home. Select one to focus on for the next few days. When your child is reading, he/she should read with expression and use their finger to track each word read. Post a picture of your child reading on google classroom or Remind.

WEDNESDAY1.) Math- Maintaining Concepts and Skills. Work on page 221. Draw pictures to go along with each story problem. Write the equation and answer in the box provided. Search for coins throughout your house. With help, count how much money you found! Hint: check the couch cushions. 2.) Reading- Listen to the story, Amelia’s Show and Tell Fiesta. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZZv-W1laQk3.) Writing – Draw a picture of something you would like to show and tell. Write about why you chose this item and what makes it special to you!

THURSDAY1.) Math- Money: Working with Coins. Work on page 175 & 177. Cut out the coins on page 175. Paste the coins on page 177 to show the amount for each price tag. Write a sentence to describe what the moon looks like and why. Example: Balloon, ball, a face.
