More info…Rainbow Carrots – White or golden carrots are yellow or cream colored. They have a mild flavor with hardly any of the earthiness of other colors of carrots, and they’re notably a bit sweeter than orange, red or purple carrots.

The golden kiwifruit (Actinidia chinensis) has a smooth, bronze skin, with a beak shape at the stem attachment. Flesh color varies from bright green to a clear, intense yellow. This

species is sweeter and more aromatic in flavor; the flavor is reminiscent of some

subtropical fruit.

The parsnip is a root vegetable closely related to the carrot and parsley. It is a

biennial plant usually grown as an annual. Its long, tuberous root has cream-colored skin

and flesh; and left in the ground to mature, it becomes sweeter in flavor after winter frosts.

The Apple Pear is a relatively new fruit to most people, although they have been

grown here since the Gold Rush days, when Chinese miners planted them in the foot hills

of the Sierra Nevadas. For the most part, Apple Pear varieties are round in shape with white flesh giving them the appearance and

texture similar to an apple.

Purple cauliflower's color is due to the presence of the antioxidant anthocyanin,

which can also be found in red cabbage and red wine. Purple cauliflower also goes by the variety names Sicilian Violet, Violet Queen

and Grafitti cauliflower.
