YEAR 10 EASTER PREP – DUE WEDNESDAY 20 TH APRIL As promised, after Easter we will start our identity coursework. In this unit, we will explore how artists have shown the theme of identity in their work, starting with portraiture and moving onto more individual ideas. In order to start the unit, you will need to complete the following over Easter. 1. Take a selfie! Please no duck pouts! This should focus on your head and shoulders but mostly on your face. If you don’t manage this, I have your school photograph ready to print at the touch of a button 2. Produce an illustrated mindmap (words with some images added) based on the different subthemes you could explore around Identity. Use the ideas we discussed in lessons. 3. Produce a visual moodboard based on the subtheme you would like to explore. This should be photographs and images of artists work, annotated in depth to explain your thinking. This will form the starting point of your coursework – it’s important to select carefully as this needs to keep you excited until January next year! 4. Ensure your final piece for Natural Forms is completed. If you have been using your lessons, hour of signing in and your prep time wisely, this should be completed already.
