One of our pioneer ancestors was traveling
with her parents, siblings, aunt, uncle and cousins when a member of the family became ill with
cholera. The entire family became sick
except for the ancestor in question. She was 15 years old and cared for
her family alone. At least 7 family members died before they were well
enough to continue their journey to Salt Lake.
