Introduction to the ECT7310 Terminal Protocol Conformance Tester
The ECT7310 provides users with a terminal protocol conformance testing total solution.
It supports single-module protocol tests for TD-LTE-A、LTE FDD-A、TD-SCDMA, TD-LTE
, LTE FDD, IMS 、 VOLTE 、 SRVCC, as well as IRAT tests for
TD-SCDMA/GSM 、 TD-LTE/TD-SCDMA 、 TD-LTE/GSM 、 TD-LTE/LTE FDD 、 LTE
FDD/WCDMA 、 TD-LTE/WCDMA 、 LTE FDD/GSM 、 LTE FDD/WCDMA/GSM
、 TD-LTE/TD-SCDMA/GSM. This tester uses the Datang LinkTester latest hardware
platform, and meets all 3GPP terminal protocol conformance-related requirements
(TS34.123, TS51.010 and TS36.523).
ECT7310 is highly scalable and provides an integrated and automated testing solution
that will significantly increase usage rate/efficiency, thus reducing testing costs. Its strong
signaling parsing capacity and its locating function will speed the optimization of the
tested products. Currently, the ECT7310 is widely used and has been adopted by China
Mobile‘s Terminal Selection and Testing Lab, by China MIIT's China Type Approval(CTA)
as well as by various terminal and chip manufacturers (both for product development and
testing)

The data monitoring system has the ability to display in real time the Uu
interface data information as well as the local configuration.

customized display and classification, as well as clear and understandable log
generation.
Support for multi-functional combined queries of message logs using various
different standards (e.g. primitive, time and bit stream) so as to find the locating
message in a timely manner.
Perfect test reports
Real-time display of statistical charts, both during and after tests execution.
Test logs can be stored onto a local PC or uploaded to a remote server, as
required by users.
Test results can be saved in various formats (excel, pdf, word, txt and html).

ECT7310 Terminal Protocol Conformance Tester: hardware
The ECT7310 Terminal Protocol Conformance Tester comprises an LTE, a TD-
SCDMA and a GSM module.
LTE-A module
The LTE-A module allows for TD-LTE-A and LTE FDD-A , forward
compatibility TD-LTE and LTE FDD, testing along 400MHz~3800MHz. All of

the bands frequently used in LTE are supported
(band20/07/04/03/01/38/39/40/41 etc.).
TD-SCDMA module
The TD-SCDMA module includes the baseband processing module (ECTC) and
the RF processing module (ECTU). ECTC is responsible for processing the TD-
SCDMA physical layer and the upper-layer protocol;
while the ECTU processes the TD-SCDMA RF signals that covers the
Band34(A)/Band39(F)/Band40(E) frequency bands.
GSM module
As the simulator of the GSM system, the GSM module supports GSM protocol
tests.,support 400MHz~3800MHz,coverGSM900。GSM1800。

Introduction to the Software Environment of the ECT7310
Description of SMT Functions
SMT is the ECT7310 master control program. Users can customize the testing
library, create test tasks in random order, perform testing and monitoring, as
well as save the test results.
Menu bar Seven menu items: File, Edit, View, Test Plan, Tool, Window and Help. Users can create/open the Workspace, add UE/test plans, switch the display window, set associated parameters, start/pause/stop the execution of test plans etc.

Case LibraryStatistical chart
Toolbar Comprised of three parts: Standard, Views, and Format. The toolbar is primarily used to create/open/close the workspace, add UE/test plans, switch the display window, start/pause/stop the execution of test plans, edit texts etc.
Status bar Displays various current SMT status messages, including the name of the current user, the connection status, the alarm message prompt, test-case execution progress bar, SAVE/UPDATE and other such message-prompts.
Workspace Comprised of five parts, namely Notes, Documents, User Terminals, Test Plans and Test Reports. It is primarily used to add/modify/copy/import and export/delete UE and test plans, execute test plans,view test reports etc.
Document space Display sequence executor, workspace-notes, PIXIT table, AT settings, test plan-notes and case sequence windows, provide functions such as text editing, case sequence editing, display both execution process and test results.
Log This bar has three windows, namely the SMT Log, the ADL Log and the TTCN Log. It is used to display and view on-going SMT log information and test-execution.
Sequence status Display in real time the running status information (execution result, execution mode, throughput rate, and time consumed historic records) about each case part of running Test Plan. The sequence status can also save and exportfailed tests as a Test Plan document.
Statistical chart Real time update of all statistical charts pertaining to completed and on-going Cases.
Description of Monitor Functions
As a data monitoring system, the Monitor can display in real time both data
information and local configuration for each layer of the air interface. It can
decode information and display it through a user-friendly viewing interface; it
also supports the simultaneous opening of offline message files. Additionally,
its display window includes functions such as message filtering, shading,
labeling, and lookup/search.

Toolbar There are 4 items in the toolbar, namely opening offline log, start tracing, stop tracing and switch filtering modes.
Display window Display online and offline tracing messages.
Output window Primarily display output messages from the Monitor system itself.
Status bar Display the connection status of the card and the connection status of SMT.
