Letting People Know

Here is an example of leaflet/letter content you could use to tell people about your idea for planting trees. Tailor the text as you need to suit your circumstances. You might wish to include some maps (such as a hand drawn or annotated map) showing where you would like planting or perhaps some photographs of what the street or space currently looks like and what it could look like with trees planted.

Would you like to see [new trees planted to replace those we have lost] [more trees planted] in our area? Some of us have formed a small local group to make our neighbourhood more attractive to live in. Trees have been proven to improve our health and well-being, increase property prices, reduce pollution, give wildlife a home and are beautiful!

We need your agreement to planting trees in our area. We would also welcome any contributions you can make to the project, such as practical help or financial support.
