This week we will be working with the simple present tense. How to Use the simple present tense We use the simple present tense for talking about things that are true, a fact. For example : That tree is a silver birch. The sun rises and sets each day. Cats do not like to get wet. How to write using the simple present tense . With regular verbs like to look: I look, you look, he/she/it looks We look, you look, they look Note the ’s' that is added when we use he/she or it Exercise 1) Write about about the kingfisher using the simple present tense . Exercise 2) Write about the fox using the simple present tense and as many adjectives and adverbs as you can to create the mood of the picture. Adjectives = picture words that describe a naming word (noun) Adverbs = picture words that describe an action, doing word (verb)
