Jing: a screen capturing tool that can be utilized to give oral feedback for approximately 5 minutes or shorter.

How to use Jing:

1. Open Jing application from your Windows start icon. A Jing icon will appear in the top center of your screen.

2. Open the document you wish to give feedback on using Jing.

3. Hover over icon and click on the capture icon. A perpendicular line will appear.

4. Starting from where the lines intersect, click and drag to select an area for feedback.

5. Click on the icon “capture video” to begin recording feedback.

6. The mic will turn on and count down from 3. Once countdown is complete, proceed by speaking into the mic.

7. You can use the highlight and comment tool in Microsoft Word while recording to supplement your oral feedback.

8. You can stop, pause, mute, restart, and cancel at any point during the recording.

9. If you stop, the recording will show up as a playback. You can watch the recording and change the Name as needed.

10. Once the feedback is complete, you can share it via screencast or save it. If you want to start over, click on cancel icon.
