2. Click "Add more students" (circled in orange) to add students to your group

Once you click the orange circle, you will see this option:

In the search box (circled in red), type a student's name and it will give you options for the students that may fall in that category (e.g. typing "Jo" will show names such as John, Jonah, etc.)

Adding" (circled in blue)

Choose the group you want to document by clicking on the group name (e.g. Thurs 10:30)

Then click worklist complete

Choose which service you want to do If you are not going to write notes on

paradigm, then the fastest way to document that you've at least seen your kids is to group them by days/groups/individuals

For example, if I wanted to make a group for all the group kids I see on Wednesday, I might label the group Wed group and label another group Wed individual for all the individual kids I see

That way, I can click bulk treatments (in red circle) to do a quick documentation

Choose which one you want to document for For SLPAs, you will only click the direct service/therapy SLPs, you will click consultation/case management for those kids on consult Once you click a bubble, hit Next Step

Choose the site you're documenting for (green circle) Choose the service type (blue circle): if you created groups where you put all your group

students in one day together and your individual students in one day together, this will speed up the process

If you are on your group kids, leave the service type as Regular: Small Group (2-8) If you are on your individual kids, leave the service type as Regular: Individual

Add the Minutes (red circle) Outcomes (purple circle): leave this as student present as you can change this after you click

next step

Service date (yellow circle) will always be set on the day you're inputting it; if you're behind on your notes, make sure to change the date to the date you want to have been documenting; otherwise, it will save under the day you were inputting it

Notes can be edited for 30 days, so changes can be made if you made a mistake; but after a set number of days, the data that was inputted cannot be changed; change any mistakes ASAP to avoid this problem

Treatment areas: depending on the SLP at your site, you may be required to add in what areas you were treating (i.e. fluency, articulation, etc.); if so, leave this blank and add them individually after you click next step

Since there were 2 students in the group I chose, both their names will appear in this section You can scroll down to see the rest of your students Treatment Areas (blue circle): On this page, you can click the box under treatment areas

for each individual child and a dropbox of various options will show up Again, this section is optional, but depending on your SLP, you may be required to fill this in Service Type (green circle): If you chose to group all kids into one group regardless of being

group or individual, you can change their service type on their page as depicted by both green circles; but you will have to go through each child to change their service type

Page 7: speechassociates.comspeechassociates.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/... · Web viewGuideline to Paradigm How to make a group/list of your kids You can make multiple groups and a child

Outcome (red circle): on this page, you can also change whether or not the student was present or absent as depicted by both red circles

Then on the bottom left of the page, click save all

Once you click save all, you will be directed to this page

Page 8: speechassociates.comspeechassociates.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/... · Web viewGuideline to Paradigm How to make a group/list of your kids You can make multiple groups and a child

Feel free to click dismiss or go to treatments to check if what you inputted has saved

Click the + icon to see notes of any SLPs and/or SLPAs that has seen the child

You can also print notes for each child by choosing the date range you want, and then clicking export

4. Miscellaneous #1 If you don't want to do bulk

treatment and prefer to input every child manually, you can click treatment (blue circle) instead of bulk treatment

When you click treatment, both children's names will show up on left under worklist

But you will have to click "Add new" and manually input the previous information (mentioned in guide before)

Once you are done with the first student, you can click the second student's name and click "Add new" to manually input the second child's notes

5. Miscellaneous #2: NOTES If you are inputting notes, follow these steps Choose the group you want, the click worklist complete

Choose bulk treatments (again, you can tailor notes for each child separately on the next page)

Page 10: speechassociates.comspeechassociates.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/... · Web viewGuideline to Paradigm How to make a group/list of your kids You can make multiple groups and a child

the next page Input the minutes (red circle)

Page 11: speechassociates.comspeechassociates.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/... · Web viewGuideline to Paradigm How to make a group/list of your kids You can make multiple groups and a child

Treatment area (orange circle): optional and dependent upon what the SLP at your site wants/prefers

In the comments section (red circle), you can copy paste each child's goals and write how the session went

Scroll down to continue inputting data/information for each child in your group When you are done, you can click save all Example notes:

7. worked on increasing utterances using total communication: worked on "I want __," "eat __," "drink __," "open door," said spontaneously "open, "eat," "I want mommy," "no, "me," 8. worked on CV, VC, CVC and 2-syllable words: bah/box, nana/banana, wan/want, "mumum"/melon, buh/bread, eat/eat 65% mod verb/vis cues during food monster game, cars, windup toys 9. worked on following 1-2 step directions with one embedded preposition, descriptor word, and/or basic concept: worked around, in, big, under, on in one step directions using toy car 65% mod verb/vis cues

If you are writing notes on paradigm, remember to be detailed as you cannot change notes after 30 days. If an advocate, parent, or lawyer ever wants your notes, and they're typed/saved, you won't be able to print or change

Notes are what defend what you are doing in treatment

In your notes, don't forget to include:1. Goal # (make sure it matches the goal #s on the IEPs): I just short-hand their actual goals and put

it in the notes, so there are no confusion as to what I'm working on2. Activities used to target goal3. Percentage4. Frequency of cues: min/mod/max5. Types of cues: visual, verbal, gestural, tactile, etc.6. Helpful notes such as spontaneous language sample, speech production of words, types of

directions given, types of phrases worked on, etc.
