Course Objectives

To provide an opportunity for students to develop strong learning habits. To provide opportunities for students to develop creative, critical and formal

thinking. To increase students’ scientific knowledge and achieve the learning objectives

noted for each unit. To facilitate the growth of positive science attitudes and help students to

understand and enjoy the topics of Science 9 curriculum.

Expectations

Be in class on time, every day. (Lates and un-excused absences will result in loss of participation marks)

Show up ready to learn – binders, pens, pencils, textbook, workbook, ruler, etc. Hand in homework and assignments on required due date.

*If you need an extension on an assignment you must ask Ms. Wilson in advance of the due date. Extensions will not be granted on the class before the assignment is due, or on the actual due date.

Maintain an organized binder Behave appropriately in class according to school and class expectations. Participate – ask questions, contribute to discussion, have fun while learning!
