Students will create their “responsibility rings”: Responsible actions at home, in their community, in their country, in the world.

5 inquiry periods

Several activities for the day (in reading/writing/math/social studies, etc.) will be related to the topic of winter, holiday celebrations, and the New Year.

A day of sight words: Students will be assessed individually in the morning period.For the afternoon we will be creating and organizing our word wall. We will be observing phonemic patterns and classifying words based on frequency they occur together. This will take all 3 blocks of our afternoon, as the students will be the ones creating and organizing all nearly 100 sight words together.HW: Read flash cards at home (this will be an ongoing assignment over winter break)
