Remember to use capital letters and end punctuation. Make sure you have at least 5 complete sentences in the paragraph and support your answer with real evidence from what you have learned from the news and talking with family members.

Science - (will take approximately 2 more weeks to complete)

Use a seed from a piece of fruit or you can use a dried lima bean or pea.

Collect some soil from your backyard in a small container, remember the darker the dirt the more nutrients it has for growing things.

Press your seed down into the dirt (just to the first line on your pointer finger).

Cover the seed with the soil. If your container is clear- you can press the seed down by the side where you can still see it through the container.

Sprinkle a little water on the soil- don’t over water. You will need to water it again in 2-3 days.

Place your container out in the sun.

Make a journal – you can have several entries on one page. (see example below)

Go out and check on your plant every 2-3 days. Write down what you see. If you don’t see anything, you can write that down, too. When you see something start to happen, draw a small picture of it with your journal entry.

Keep track of your plant’s growth for 3 weeks.
