The Project Manager/Business Analyst is expected to form strong and productive working relationships with all customers and users of the School’s ICT services and key external service providers, which assist with the service provision. Ultimately responsible to the Principal via the Director of Corporate Services. Position Objective: The Project Manager/Business Analyst will develop, maintain and manage the School’s online information systems and services so as to ensure the provision of quality, up-to-date information systems and services to all users (students, staff and the School community) thus enabling an ‘anytime/ anywhere’ learning/teaching/administrative capability. This includes the provision of business analysis, technical design, construction and implementation of online systems and services, and the administration of the key underlying platform, currently Microsoft SharePoint. The Senior Business Intelligence Officer works as part of the ICT team with a core focus on integration between systems to bring data visibility and support key stakeholders across the various business units in the School. The incumbent will provide data that is accurate, congruent and reliable, and ensure the information is easily available to users for direct consumption or integration across our systems. They will also support and train key stakeholders to use the data as an analytical tool. They will have a strong project management methodology and experience in leading projects and change.

Key Responsibilities:1. Business Intelligence (BI)

Lead project planning and scoping processes including inception, technical design, development, testing and delivery of BI solutions in conjunction with key stakeholders.

Oversight and responsibility for data integrity across core systems and establish necessary rules and practices to ensure integrity.

Manage both internal stakeholders and vendors, as well as the process of search and selection. In conjunction with the Director ICT, manage overall project plans, communications and other project

management tasks and responsibilities. Utilise reporting and BI technologies to analyse and report on core system data to identify areas for

improvement and implement appropriate resolutions. Ensure a high level of client satisfaction through friendly, knowledgeable client focussed support, training and

communication.

2. Systems Integration Responsible for the maintenance, upgrades, integration, and development of these services to ensure the

continuity of teaching and learning and business programs. These service are, but not limited to: o Student Management Solution o Learning Management Solution o SharePointo Office 365 o Active Directory

Develop SQL queries, database exports and report writing in Crystal Reports and SQL Server Reporting Services and SQL Server Analysis Services.

Integrate business systems including development of processes to facilitate the transport of data between and through these systems.

Develop technical procedures and relevant internal documentation as required.

3. Other Responsibilities Shared Responsibilities: Leadership and team work. Incident and problem management. Systems management and monitoring. Operational fitness. Customer service. Operational reporting. Provide quality advice and counsel to the Director of ICT on a needs basis. Infrastructure design. Other duties as required.

Key Selection Criteria: Qualifications, Skills and Experience Minimum of 3 to 5 years proven experience in a similar role Broad and proven experience with core technologies such as SharePoint, MS SQL Server Database

Administration Relevant qualifications in an ICT or Business discipline Experience in R-12 schools or the solutions we are looking for will be highly regarded Experience developing and maintaining:

o n-tier web applications using a Service Oriented Architectureo .Net web services (SOAP and WebAPI) using C#o .Net Web Forms applications using C#, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, HTML and XML

Experience configuring and maintaining Microsoft IIS websites and applications Experience with:

o SharePoint 2010, particularly Nintex Workflow and Forms o SQL Server particularly T-SQL queries and stored procedureso integrating enterprise systems

Highly developed troubleshooting, problem solving and decision making skills Demonstrated strong competence in systems integration and selection and implementation of Business

Intelligence or Data Analytics solutions would be highly regarded Experience with or knowledge of the following is desirable:

o SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Reporting Services (SSRS)o Systems Interoperability Framework (SIF)o Visual Studio Team Services (source control)o PowerBIo MAZE school management system and SEQTA Learning Management System

Demonstrated experience in working with a diverse group of stakeholders and vendors.
