Grading Policy An academic grade will be given for this course which will be based on assignments, homework, quizzes, and tests/projects. Grades will be posted regularly throughout the term. Final Grades will be weighted by the following percentages: Test and quizes- 65% Assignments- 25% Warm-Ups- 10% At times, students will correct each other’s work or a student aid will be assigned that task. If this is a problem, please contact me and other arrangements can be made. Students with failing grades will be invited to work with me in my classroom after school. GRADING SCALE 93-100= A 80-82= B- 67-69= D+ 90-92= A- 77-79= C+ 63-66= D 87-89= B+ 73-76= C Warm-Ups Each day a warm-up question will be on the board to start the class period. These questions usually are similar to test questions for the unit. Warm-ups are worth 10% of the final grade. Tests and Quizzes A test will be give for each unit studied. Seventy percent of a student’s grade will be based on quizzes and tests. Two to three random quizzes will be given throughout each unit. Students will be allowed to re- take tests.
