Border ChronicleAirlie Rehmann Internship (2014)
Airlie Rehmann conducted an internship with the Border Chronicle, Bordertown (Fairfax Regional Media) for a period of one week as part of her final year university studies in journalism.
During her time she worked under the guidance of journalist Benn Gransden and manager Tracey Poulten, where she implemented theoretical study into practice.
Throughout the week she interviewed, learnt basics of photography, wrote stories, worked with online content management systems and received constructive criticism on her work. She also looked at Ad layout, story allocation to pages, and pagination of pages in InDesign.
Airlie’s bubbly personality and friendly smile was a pleasure to have around the office. She was a hard worker, worked well unsupervised and worked well with other staff members when required.
I have no hesitation in recommending her to any organisation.
