On Wednesday, May 19, our Parish Council  reviewed the current CDC and State health officials’ recommendations concerning Covid precautions. Therefore, as of this date, the following will be in effect:

1. Fully vaccinated people will no longer have to wear masks during church services and activities. Those who are not fully vaccinated are asked to continue wearing masks for their protection and the protection of others. We will rely on the honor system and will not ask for vaccination proof. Anyone is welcome to continue wearing masks if they should choose.

2. We will continue to preregister for Liturgy attendance via SignUp Genius accessible from our Website (in order to maintain contact tracing).

Page 2: holyassumption.org  · Web view2021. 6. 22. · By the word of the Lord were the heavens established and all their hosts by the ... For this reason, with one accord, we magnify you.

3. We will continue to maintain social distancing within the nave of the church.

Hopefully these remaining precautions can be lifted in the near future.

We are fortunate that we have been able to keep our church open during this difficult year though we have had to abide with restrictions. Thank you all for your understanding, patience, and cooperation.  We pray that we can resume normal parish life soon and that this health crisis will be eliminated.

The Presence of the Holy Spirit

Without the Holy Spirit, God is far away,

Christ stays in the past,

the Gospel is a dead letter,

the church is simply an organization,

authority–a matter of domination,

mission–a matter of propaganda,

the liturgy–no more than an evocation,

Christian living–a slave morality.

But in the Holy Spirit:

the cosmos is resurrected and groans with the

birth pangs of the kingdom,

the Risen Christ is there,

the Gospel is the power of life,

the church shows forth life of the Trinity,

authority is a liberating service,

mission is a Pentecost,

the liturgy is both memorial and anticipation,

human action is deified.

The Most Amazing Organization in the World!

A minister stood up in a local club meeting to give a brief statement about his job. He said: "I'm with a global enterprise. We have branches in every country in the world. We have our representatives in nearly every parliament and board room on earth. We're into motivation and behavior alteration. We run hospitals, feeding stations, crisis pregnancy centers, universities, publishing houses, and nursing homes. We care for our clients from birth to death. We are into life insurance and fire insurance. We perform spiritual heart transplants. Our original Organizer owns all the real estate on earth plus an assortment of galaxies and constellations. He knows everything and lives everywhere. Our product is free for the asking. (There's not enough money to buy it.) Our CEO was born in a hick town, worked as a carpenter, didn't own a home, was misunderstood by his family, hated by enemies, walked on water, was condemned to death without a trial, and arose from the dead--I talk with him every day."

The church is the most amazing organization in the world!

Cleanse us of all hypocrisy. And Save us – Because to know God Because to have God dwelling in us is new life, new freedom, new relationship with God and the world, Because to have the

of the Most High To be alive in GodThis is Jesus gift to us! Let us live this life fully!

What Christian relationships ought to be

Serve one another (Galatians 5:13). Bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2). Speak the truth in love to one another (Ephesians 4:15). Teach one another (Colossians 3:16). Forgive one another (Ephesians 4:32). Admonish one another (Romans 15:14). Comfort and edify (build up) one another (1 Thessalonians 5:11). Exhort one another (Hebrews 3:13). Stir up one another to love and good works (Hebrews 10:24). Confess your trespasses to and pray for one another (James 5:16). Be hospitable with one another (1 Peter 4:9). Minister to one another the spiritual gifts you have received (1 Peter 4:10).

The ultimate example of ideal fatherhood:(1) The Heavenly Father cares for His children. I Peter 5:7 "Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."(2) He responds to the needs of His children. Philippians 4:19 "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus."(3) He forgives His children. I John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive

Page 8: holyassumption.org  · Web view2021. 6. 22. · By the word of the Lord were the heavens established and all their hosts by the ... For this reason, with one accord, we magnify you.

us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."(4) He disciplines His children. Proverbs 3:11-12 "My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction: For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth."(5) He comforts His children. Isaiah 49:13 "Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the LORD hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted."(6) He listens to His children. I John 5:14-15 "And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him."
