Let your class teacher know how you got on!

- Enjoy reading for pleasure and for sustained periods of time – Read your favourite chapter books! Find some interesting facts from a non-fiction book that interests you! Read to a grown-up – Are you using plenty of expression and changing the tone in your voice?

Cross-CurricularThis week we would like you to find out all about a famous historical figure from the country you have chosen to focus on this week. This could be someone who has invented something important, a famous painter or artist, or maybe it could be a famous military leader. There are some pictures below to give you some ideas (remember you do not have to choose one of these, you can choose your own) Here are some questions that might help you find out about them:

When were they born? Where are they from? Where did they grow up? Why/how did they become famous? What impact (if any) did they have on their country? Are there any other interesting facts about them?

You could present your work by pretending to be the famous person you have chosen and ask a family member to film you in the hot seat interviewing you. (Remember this is only a suggestion and you can choose how to present your work.)

Here are some websites that might help you: https://www.kids-world-travel-guide.com/www.bbc.co.uk/bitesizewww.natgeokids.com/uk/ www.dkfindout.comwww.activityvillage.co.uk

A mandala is a spiritual and ritual symbol in Hinduism and Buddhism, representing the universe, mandalas are usually circular and geometric patterns.
