This week is National French Week! Its purpose is to increase the appreciation
and understanding of Francophone countries and the French language of
course! First French fact of the week: Did you know that the Statue of Liberty (a
symbol of the USA) was a gift from France to the USA to celebrate the 100th
anniversary of the American independence. Merci la France!
Students are you making up those hours? If you have more than 5 absences in a class, you probably owe hours. Stop by
your alpha office and check. You must have all hours made up by
Dec. 9 or you will not receive credit for classes.
Attention 9th graders: There is still room for you to attend the Career Fair on
November 18th. There will be sessions from all Academy areas hosted by a panel
of local business partners discussing different career options. There will be many information booths from each
Academy area as well. Forms are available from your English I teacher. Don’t be left
behind!
