the Food Security area, I have varied experience in national and regional food policies, institutional building, advocacy and applied research on social rights (mainly the Right to Food), capacity building, project planning,monitoring and evaluation, Food Security information and communication. Moreover, I have a personal interest in

and plant genetic resources (agro-biodiversity, forestry resources and threatened species). Global governance, climate change, food culture and food ethics are recent topics of interest.

representative of ACF-Spain in Guatemala, Nicaragua and Honduras, coordinating a team of 140 people, more than 30 projects, a 7 million Euro portfolio, more than 200,000 beneficiaries and ten donors. My duties were budgeting, strategic planning, contacts with national and regional institutions as well as private donors and universities, developing new areas such as anti-hunger safety nets, right to food and right to water, rought preparedness and climate change, direct supervision of field projects (food security and emergencies) and expanding the right to food and cultural factors affecting stunting.

After designing the Initiative and raising funds to render it operational, I worked as technical officerwith the (ALCSH in spanish), following up country-support activities on food policy, institutional strengthening, Right to Food promotion, capacity building, Food Security laws and national programmes, budget allocation and networking with UN agencies and bilateral donors.
