Canon of beauty
By extension, may be called the norms, measures or anatomical looking of a certain period as to what is or is not considered beautiful. These norms have varied over time and what is considered beautiful in one era may not necessarily be so in another.
Canons of beauty follow the evolution of fashion and are dependent on the evolution of physical decoration techniques such as dressing or haircuts.

Characteristic that provides a perceptual experience of pleasure or satisfaction. An "ideal beauty" is an entity which is admired, or possesses features widely attributed to beauty in a particular culture, for perfection.

The way of life, especially the general customs and beliefs, of a particular group of people at a particular time.

By groups of 3, the students will make a
presentation in Power Point about how the beauty canons have been changed, according to the cultural context, beliefs and chronological development, since the prehistory until our days.
The presentation must have at least 4 different canons (regarding to different centuries), with its explanation, dates, characteristics and images.
Deadline: Monday 3rd of march, 15:00
Exercise
Coherence in the timeline between the context,
explanation and images.
Logical analysis between images and theory.
Balance between quantity, text and images (50-50)
All the members of the group must be in conditions to explain any answer.
Internet use is allowed, also the library sources.
The work must record the research, using APA for all the references.
Punctuality and organization.
Evaluation
After this exercise the student must be able to
recognize different types of human visual representations, relating it with different periods of human history and the reason behind those changes.
