Volvo On Call*Volvo On Call (VOC)* is an additional serviceto which Volvo owners can subscribe. Thesubscription consists of safety, security andcomfort services.

The VOC system is linked to the car's SRSand alarm systems and the other systems inthe car (e.g. locks and climate control). Thecar has a built-in modem for communicationbetween the car and VOC's services. Map(p. 16) shows the countries where the sys-tem is available. Contact a Volvo dealer forcurrent information, since the map maychange. The subscription's services/offer aredependent on the market. Contact a Volvodealer for information about which servicesare applicable in a particular country.

AvailabilityOnce the remote control key has beenremoved from the car, the system's functionsare available continuously for 5 days and thenonce per hour during the following 17 days. After a total of 22 days the system will bedeactivated until the car is started.

The system uses GNSS (Global NavigationSatellite System) to locate the car. The car'sbuilt-in modem is used for contact with theVOC service centre and VOC mobile app.

WARNING

The system only works in areas whereVOC's partners have mobile coverage andin markets where the service is available.

Just as with mobile phones, atmosphericdisturbances or sparse transmitter cover-age may lead to connection being impos-sible, e.g. in sparsely populated areas.

SubscriptionA subscription is initiated in connection withthe purchase of the car when the system isactivated. The subscription has a time limitbut can be extended, and validity is marketdependent.
