Our skilled sales staff will meet with you to learn more about your online goals.

We’ll ask a series of questions about your business in order to understand how we

may bring value to you. We’ll also discuss the goals of your website and develop a

clear understanding of your project. From this data we’ll be able to accurately

produce a proposal and contract. If your project falls outside of our expertise or

areas of strength, our sales staff will do our best to recommend or refer you to

someone who may be better suited for your project.

During the kickoff meeting two members of the Marin Web Design team will be

present. A project manager and your sales person will meet with you to review the

signed agreement, deliverables and fee schedule. If you have any questions

regarding the contract this is the perfect time to discuss them. Reviewing the

agreement together ensures that we are all moving in the same direction.

The project manager will also ask you to sign off on two

additional documents:

The credit card authorization form allows our accounting

team to bill any approved recurring software or stock

image purchases to your account directly during the course

of your project.

credit card authorization form

web and software credentials formThe web and software credentials form allows us to keep a

secure record of your website’s login details. It also speeds

up the support process on your web project moving forward.

Some of the details that this document will contain are:

Domain Registrar: (GoDaddy, Network Solutions etc.)

Database Details: (Examples: MySql)

Hosting Account: (Host Gator, Blue host, etc)

Any third party software that may be used as part of your project(Constant Contact, Facebook etc.)

Once these two documents are executed the project manager will take over the

meeting and work with you to define a production calendar that has milestones,

dates and deliverables that work with your schedule and company resources.

If you are prepared for your kickoff meeting with the two signed forms above this

will allow us to focus on other areas of your project during this one-hour meeting.

If you are not prepared for any reason that is okay too. We’ll be more than happy to

walk you through this step of tasks and answer any questions you may have.

03IA and NavigationOur information architecture and copywriting team will walk you through this

section of your project. Planning your website’s navigation is a great way to

ensure that the design team knowswhat they are designing for. Many usability

experts strongly support that design without content is merely a placeholder.

The links of your navigation and the text content chosen for you home and inner

pages is critical to your project’s completion and the Marin Web Design standard

of quality.
