This is an example of ice wedging. Ice Wedging is when waters flows into cracks in a rock, and freezes. When it

freezes it expands, moving the rock further apart.

This is an example of natural acid chemical weathering. Natural acid chemical weathering is when there’s a chemical reaction between the minerals in the rock and hydrogen in rain water,

weakening the rock.

This is an example of plant acid chemical weathering. Plant acid chemical weathering is when organic acids from either dying or

decaying plants, when dissolved in water, cause chemical weathering.

This is an example of oxidation a water type of chemical weathering. Oxidation is when oxygen reacts with earth materials, and weaken, the earth material or rock. When iron reacts with oxygen, reddish-brown iron oxide is formed.

This is an example of rain weathering. Rain weathering is when raindrops wear away rock.

This is an example of wind erosion. Wind erosion is when wind causes small particles to be lifted and move

it to another place.

This is an example of ice erosion. Ice erosion is when the movement of ice, typically as glaciers, move sediments to another

region.

This is an example of gravity erosion. Gravity erosion is when gravity moves material from higher elevations to lower

elevations, either by being on a slope, or weight pushing the other material down.

This is an example of river erosion. River erosion is when a river picks up sediments and drops them at the end of the river flow.

This is an example of wave pounding erosion. Wave pounding erosion is when the energy of the wave hitting the cliff or rock

breaks pieces off, and the eroded material gets carried away by the waves.
