hopes to remain in

Texas to live happy

ever after.

Carol is married to Andy and has one son, Nicholas

Craig. She also has four siblings: Marda Logsdon,

David Pittman, Theresa Barnes, and Dwight Siers.

Carol attended North Carolina State University- School

of Design and has a BA degree in Product Design.

Carol runs her own business, Invizion Art Inc. where

she designs architectural lighting fixtures, creates 3D

product visualizations, and custom artwork. She enjoys

riding motorcycles, rescuing great Danes, and

volunteering for various organizations. Carol attends a

Gateway Church Pink Group and a Gateway Couples

Group. She and her husband also host a Gateway Group

in their home.

Carol is a WAA member as well as a member of the

Fort Worth Community Art Center. She took art classes

offered in high school, and took a graphic art studio, an

illustration class, and a history of art painting class while

in college. When Carol exhibited some paintings at the

Azle Art Festival, a fellow artist told her about the

Weatherford Art Association as well as the upcoming

Peach Festival. Carol entered some paintings and soon

after joined WAA. Her schedule as well as the distance

from Weatherford limits her attending the meetings and

demonstrations.

Carol mostly paints with acrylics on raw, unbleached

canvas that is prepped with clear gesso to allow the raw

canvas texture to show. Most of the raw canvas paintings

are either monochromatic, or embellished with

low-saturated, jewel-tone colors.

Carol has received a number of awards: Honorable

Mention, Pomona Valley Art Assoc. Juried Show 2004;

1st Place Oil/Acrylic WAA Peach Festival 2015;

People’s Choice, WAA Peach Festival 2015 and 1st Place

WAA Member’s Show 2016.

At this point Carol markets her work through an

occasional show or donating her paintings at charity

auctions. Her goals over the next 10-15 years are to

transition her business from mostly Industrial Design to

mostly art.

Her words of advice are, “We all were given gifts by

our Creator. Find out what yours is and use it.”

Success (courtesy of Weatherford Chamber of

Commerce-Chamber Connection Newsletter)

Chamber of Commerce hosted their 2nd

Annual “ART in

ACTION” art show on March 16. Several local artists

participated in this event. The Chamber thanked

sponsors: Leon Henry of Ameriprise Financial Services,

Inc., Wally Wallace of Wallace Insurance Group,Inc.,

LLC, and James Plowman of Galbreaith Pickard Funeral

Chapel that donated the cash prizes for our winners.

Entries were judged by a group of judges.

Congratulations to each of the winners: 1st place-James

Milner, 2nd place–Debra Sue Waters, 3rd

place-Sherry Watters & 4th place-Jay Hutton. Some

had their work for sale. It was great to see such talent put

to use.

Children enjoyed making their own souvenir shirts,

painting their own masterpiece and having their face

painted by Jessica Pelletier. The event took place in the

Weatherford Farmer’s Market. We appreciate the

Farmer’s Market allowing us to host the show in the

market. This FREE art show was open to the public. This

was a great event for the entire family and the Chamber

hopes you will make an effort to attend next March!
