Even this is General Aviation

PRIMARY WEATHER KILLERS
•VFR in IMC
•Thunderstorms
•Icing

Survey Results
•Need better information and forecasts of icing and thunderstorms. (short term convective forecasts)
•More information on cloud tops
•More detail about visibility beyond “better then 6”
•Dislike current FSS setup which may connect to briefers who are hundreds or thousands of miles away with little or no local knowledge.
•Too much information makes it difficult to find the really important information.

•Extended outlook beyond 24 hours with more detail then just VFR/IFR
•36 – 48 surface prog similar to 12-24 low level sig weather prog
•More PIREPS more often and more current
•3D presentation using Google Earth or similar to show simulated weather conditions including clouds, precipitation and visibility at a chosen altitude
•Do away with most codes. Why is 3,000 broken displayed as bkn 030? Why not 3,000 bkn?
