How do I become a Christian? Repent - Turn away from your sin to follow God’s new direction for your life. (Romans 3:23; Acts 3:19) Believe - Trust in Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, for eternal life. (John 3:16) Confess - Acknowledge Jesus as the supreme authority over your life. (Romans 10:9, 13) Receive - Accept God’s free gift of salvation. (Romans 6:23, John. 1:12) How may I join? By Baptism - When you have already personally committed your life to Jesus Christ, but have not yet been baptized by immersion as a public symbol of your faith. By Transfer - When you are a member of another Baptist church. By Statement - When you are a member of a church of another denomination of like faith and practice, and have been baptized by immersion as a public symbol of your faith. When do I join? Near the close of the service, as an invitation song is sung, our pastors and counselors are available down front to talk with you. May I attend a Bible Study without joining the church? Of course! Puppet Ministry Interest Meeting: Sunday, April 9th immediately after the second service in the Choir Room. This is for youth and adults who are interested in this ministry. Baptism Celebration: will be held on Sunday, April 16 during both Worship Services. If you would like to be baptized during this celebration, please call the church office at 270-886-6017. Operation Christmas Child: We are in need of shoeboxes for our Operation Christmas Child ministry. Also, if you are planning to fill a shoebox, candy and toothpaste is prohibited. Bring empty shoeboxes to the church office. Missions Yard Sale: April 21 & 22. If you have items that you would like to donate, please bring them to the church office. For larger items that need to be picked up, please call Alicia Jenkins at 270-889-7003. Ed Mosely College Scholarship Applications are now available in the Student Ministries office and the Church office, May 15 is the application deadline. Two individuals will be awarded a $500 scholarship by the Christian County Baptist Association. Good Friday Celebration: Friday, April 14 at 7:00 pm in the Worship Center. Easter Eggstravaganza: Easter Egg Hunt for children 1 years of age through 5th Grade will be on Saturday, April 15. The event will begin at 1:00 pm in the Worship Center. Hillcrest Relay for Life Team is hosting a Spaghetti Luncheon on Sunday, April 23 after the 10:30 am service in the Fellowship Hall for donation only.
