Nasimi Aghayev is the Consul General of Azerbaijan in Los Angeles,
and previously served at the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Washington,
D.C. as a counselor for political and public affairs.
Azerbaijan, a secular country with a Muslim majority, has had a close
relationship with Israel for decades. This strategic relationship,
which includes defense cooperation and energy coordination, is
fostered by a thriving Jewish community of 30,000, which has lived
peacefully in Azerbaijan for over 2,000 years.

Rabbi Dr. Benny Lau is Director of the Human Rights and Judaism in Action Project at the Israel Democracy Institute, and Rav of the Ramban Synagogue in Southern Jerusalem. Firmly committed to social justice, he has founded and led numerous institutions that promote the elevation of ethical standards and inclusion in Israeli society,
including ethical Kashrut, improved access for the disabled, and advanced Torah learning for women. Rabbi Dr. Lau learned at Yeshivat Har Etzion, served in the IDF Golani brigade, and holds an MA and PhD in Talmud from Bar Ilan University. He makes frequent media appearances and is also the author of numerous books, including Jeremiah: The Fate of A Prophet, and Maggid's The Sages series.
