June Events June 4-5 Test Session in Medicine Hat June 11 Blackjacks hosted the Motorcycle Ride for Dad. Unfortunately, rain and wind forced Dark Side Racing to cancel our display but the Ride went on as planned and raised over $100,000 for prostate cancer research! June 19 Prostate Cancer Canada’s Do It For Dads Walk & Run & Fire Up for PROSTAID Calgary. June 25 Fountain Tire Strathmore’s Customer Appreciation BBQ and Fire Up for PROSTAID Calgary. July Events July 1 Cochrane’s Canada Day at Midford Park and Fire Up for PROSTAID Calgary. **Mayor Ivan Brooker will climb into the cockpit for the Fire Up and add his signature to the Fire Up banner. July 3 PROSTAID Calgary’s Fun in the 50’s Festival and Show & Shine & Fire Up This is PROSTAID Calgary’s signature event of the 2016 car show season. Join us for a family friendly event a the Grey Eagle Casino. Over 300 classic cars; Buddy Holly and Roy Orbison will take the stage at 1pm; and Calgary Stampeders Quinn Smith will climb into the cockpit at 2pm for the Fire Up! Note: we’ve just confirmed that Ward 9 Councillor Gian-Carlo Carra will be joining us at 1pm. Fastest Woman in Canada/Canada’s First and Only Licensed Female Top Fuel Pilot Dark Side Racing’s Kelly Fedorowich is on a mission that will propel her into the record books and lay claim to the title of Canada’s First and Only Licensed Top Fuel Pilot. In doing so, Kelly will also capture the title of Fastest Woman in Can- ada. Our campaign will aim to encourage women and girls to break free of gender stereotypes and inspire more women to get involved in profes- sional drag racing, and all areas of motorsport. Motorsport is one of the few sporting activities in which men and women compete on equal footing, yet women are hugely underrepre- sented among competitors.

Fire Up for Prostate Cancer Awareness Campaign Dark Side Racing has launched a Fire Up for Prostate Cancer Awareness Campaign in support of
PROSTAID Calgary. Hosted at each of our 2016 events and displays, a spe-cial guest is invited to take the seat of honor in the cockpit of the Dark Side Racing Top Fuel Dragster. We Fire Up our 10,000 horse power, nitro burning motor and they add their signature to the Fire Up banner. The Fire Up banner will be auctioned off at the end of the season and monies raised will be donated to PROSTAID Calgary. Signatures on the banner include Jon Cornish (#9 Calgary Stampeders); W. Brett Wilson (Calgary Philanthropist); Quinn Smith (#90 Calgary Stam-peders); Brad Erdos (#53 Calgary Stampeders); Jeff B.
