THE GRAND HALL

Step down the sweeping staircase and take in the beauty of our Grand Hall. From the moment you make your entrance through the spectacular marble pillars, you’ll know this is a truly special space.

Licensed for civil ceremonies, this beautiful room transforms from a stunning ceremony space into a grand location for your wedding breakfast and evening reception.

The high ceilings, balcony and stunning arched windows create an air of elegance and romance, and with direct access to our gardens and lake, you and your guests can get closer to the stunning views that surround you.

The Grand Hall hosts up to 80 guests for a civil ceremony and up to 150 for an evening reception.

THE GARDENS

Step straight from the ceremony room into our gardens where you and your guests can enjoy a wonderful outdoor drinks reception.

Relax amidst 80 acres of beautifully kept grounds, while taking in views across the lake. Designed by acclaimed 18th-century architects William Kent and Francis Smith, our gardens provide an exquisite backdrop for wedding photographs you will treasure forever. To make the most of our outdoor spaces, we can also host a marquee in the garden for up to 300 guests.

Relax in style

Take time to relax after the celebrations in our elegant rooms.

We know your wedding day doesn’t end at midnight. That’s why we always include a number of rooms, and of course, the Bridal Suite, in your package. If you would like to book additional rooms for your guests then you can choose between our Superior or Guest rooms.

GUEST ROOMS

Found in the north and south wings of the property, these rooms have been carefully converted from the Old Coach House and stables of the original building. With a choice of doubles, twins, singles and family rooms, your guests will enjoy all the comforts you would expect, such as a TV, en-suite bathroom and tea and coffee making facilities.

SUPERIOR

In the main house, you’ll find our 14 Superior rooms. With refurbished bathrooms and beautiful antique furniture, these rooms effortlessly combine comfort and style to create a relaxing stay. Generously appointed with all the comforts you need, our Superior rooms include four luxuriously large double rooms and seven standard doubles. There are also two stylish twins and a single room.

HONEYMOON SUITE

Begin your new life together in style in our stunning Honeymoon Suite. With a wealth of space and comfort, you’ll have plenty of opportunity to relax after the reception. You’ll enjoy romantic rooms with antique furniture and elegant furnishings, places where every moment can be cherished.

ONCE YOU’ VE BOOKED Planning your wedding day should be both exciting and enjoyable. That’s why we’ll help to make sure all your arrangements run smoothly. If you have any questions at any point, our team will always be on hand and happy to advise.

TWO YEARS BEFORE YOUR WEDDING With two years to go before your wedding, it’s time to contact the registrar. We can provide all the contact details you’ll need and help with any questions you may have.

THREE MONTHS BEFORE YOUR WEDDING Approximately three months before your wedding, we’ll meet with you to run through all the details for your day. This gives us the chance to chat through all the arrangements and answer any questions you may have.

We’ll also host a menu tasting at this time, giving you the opportunity to try options from the menu, sampling two starters, two main courses and two desserts.

FOUR WEEKS BEFORE YOUR WEDDING Approximately four weeks before your wedding, we’ll meet to chat through all the final details for your day.

T WO WEEKS BEFORE YOUR WEDDING As you get close to your big day, we’ll confirm your final numbers and you can provide us with your seating plan.

TRUSTED SUPPLIERS

Our wedding team have built great relationships with professional and trustworthy bands, DJs, photographers and many more. You can use our ‘little white book’ of suppliers, or you’re welcome to bring in your own.

SUPPLIER ACCESS

Your suppliers are welcome to set up from 11am on the day of your wedding.

PHOTOGRAPHER VIS ITS

If your photographer would like to visit the property ahead of your wedding day to take a look at our spaces and photo opportunities, just let us know. We can then arrange a suitable time for them to visit.

THE BAR

Your function bar can stay open until midnight. If your guests want to carry on the celebrations a little longer, the hotel residents’ bar can stay open at the manager’s discretion.

L IVE MUSIC

You are welcome to play live music in the ceremony room and for the evening reception in The Grand Hall. On Fridays and Saturdays, live music must end by 11pm and pre-recorded music by midnight. On Sundays, all music must end by midnight.

CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT

Your guests are welcome to check-in from 3pm and check-out will be at 11am.

Luggage can be kept in reception until rooms are ready and your guests are welcome to use our public facilities if they wish to get changed beforehand.

CONFETTI

Your guests are welcome to throw biodegradable confetti outside.

CANDLES

No candles or naked flames are allowed in the building. If you would like to use candles, they must be LED candles.

F IREWORKS/LANTERNS

Fireworks are only permitted on Bonfire Night and New Year’s Eve.

To protect the local farmland and environment, we do not permit lanterns.
