EE Through collective efforts, UP PRIME strives to
deliver quality service to its stakeholders as part
of its mandate.
This accomplishment report is a solid testament to
the organization’s commitment and dedication to
produce quality student leaders that are
politically aware, socially relevant, and
academically responsible.
Together, we made all these possible. Let us
continue to move and create impact and lasting
legacy for the college, the university, the
community and the nation.

The executive committee
Academic year 2016-2017
Prime
apparel
As its first offering,
prime apparel honored
the graduating class
through the class of
2016 shirt. 100 orders
were placed online.
Physical Booths were also made
available during the engineering
recognition rites at the Philippine
international convention center.
This merchandise was made possible
through partnerships with south
republik, upd esc, and upd usc. The
class of 2016 shirts were sold in up
Diliman, up manila, up los banos and
up baguio.
Clearance
sale
An internal clearance sale to up prime members was
conducted to raise funds for the organization as well
to maintain good housekeeping of the up prime tambayan.
Activities for the first semester 2016 – 2017
centered on fortifying the internal rapport of
the organization. Several external partnerships
were also entered into with the end goal of
expanding networks for greater reach of the
services the organization has to offer.

Ball
A night of celebration for the
25 years of UP PRIME's
untarnished leadership,
service and excellence. Held at
Xavier Ville III Clubhouse, Brgy.
Loyola Heights, Quezon City.

Held on august 27, up prime’s
silver ball was attended by 32
resident members and 15 alumni.
Induction ceremonies of the
executive committee members
and directors were also
undertaken during the event.
“Prime and proud” stickers were
also sold during the event.

In relation to its 25th founding anniversary, prime apparel
released its second offering exclusively to the members
of the organization.

Balay aklatan, part of up prime’s flagship socio-civic
project, the move project, aims to rehabilitate and
renovate public school libraries to encourage the youth
to value reading and education.

school was the chosen
beneficiary for this year.
The first phase of the
project – rehabilitation
phase – which was held on
October 8 focused on
renovation of the existing
library. the second phase –
book donation phase – was
held on October 17.

donated to the
beneficiary through the
help of 7 major
organization partners.
Engineering
academic
circle
Together with UP ESC and UP
ARISE, the engineering
academic circle (eac) is a
partnership geared to
promote academic
competency and excellence
within the College of
Engineering through review
series in collaboration with
engineering-based
organizations.
Pursuant to the memorandum
of agreement, up prime is in
charge of the logistics needs
for the first semester.

Held on October 4, up prime
applicants’ orientation was
attended by 32 applicants
and resident members.
General
assembly
To discuss committee updates, goal-setting, and the status of
the organization, a general assembly was held on august 17
at the up prime tambayan.

projects and open forum
were conducted during the
general assembly. Bonding
activities capped the event
off.

Leading with confidence: package yourself like a beauty queen
focuses on confidence building through personality
development and proper grooming.

conducted by mr. mer oliva, the
trainer of miss engineering 2016.
He also discussed the link between
beauty pageants and leadership.

A total of 20 attendees graced this year’s acle, which
forms part of up prime’s elc seminar series.

Volunteer Members of up prime paid visit to cultural
minority groups, during lakbayan 2016, last October 24.

Cultural minority groups shared their stories and their
struggles as well as their advocacies during the visit.

groups to support their basic needs during the

Educational
discussion
Together with UP ESC in
cooperation with
engineering-based
organizations, RECHARGE is
an educational discussion
which aims to inform and
educate the student body
regarding the utilization
of the renewable energy
sources in order to cater
for the cleaner energy
sustainability at present
and for the future.

which was held on
November 17 at the
engineering theater.
The event was made
possible through 6 partner
organizations.

organizations to reach a wider audience and to
serve its stakeholders, in every way possible, even

It is an e-waste collection
drive within the UP
Community constructed to
raise awareness about
proper e-waste disposal
and management. The
proceeds of this project
will be used to provide
beneficiary schools with
computers.

education
Partnership with UP USC.
It is an alliance with
student organizations
based in the College of
Engineering to formulate a
campaign to remedy the
pressing issues inside the
college. These issues
include laboratory and
rental fees, student
repression on democratic
and academic rights, and
the e-UP Project.
Taluk-talk
Partnership with UP KAISA.
It is a month-long
campaign which tackles
the issue of the
exacerbating global
climate crisis.
Merry

Partnership with UP CREST.
An initiative by UP CREST
aimed to promote social
responsibility and service
to others though a
clothes and toys donation
drive in behalf of the
street families around
Quezon City.

youth organizations from

in our struggle for
equality, dignity, and
respect for all Filipinos
regardless of sexual
orientation and gender
identity and expression.
