Baptism of a Child School Registration of a Child
Becoming a Godparent or Sponsor We urge you to:
Register at the Rectory Inquire about using your talents for the good of the parish
Use your Sunday envelopes so that your generosity can be recorded. Msgr. Terry

St. Brendan Sunshine Saturday Ministry
It’s Always a Good Time to Give!
How do you spend your week-ends? Family time? Catching up with friends? The dreaded household chores? One perfect way to kick off a weekend is to spend one hour of it with the St. Brendan’s Sunshine Saturday Ministry. We’re a group that comes together once a month to feed the residents and volunteers of Alexandria House, a transitional residence for women and their children located in mid-Wilshire. Here’s how it works: we meet the first Saturday of eve-ry month at 10:15 a.m. for about an hour and serve a hot buffet breakfast. You can’t go wrong sharing your blessings! Interested? Contact Vivian King at [email protected] to be put on the e-mail sign-up list. It doesn’t have to be every month and it doesn’t have to be gour-met cooking, but it might just be the highlight of your weekend!

Our Special Thanksgiving Liturgy is coming up soon: Thursday, November 28th at 9 a.m.
At this special time, we have a tradition of bringing brown bags-full of staples
(non-perishable food) to this liturgy. For the special Thanksgiving liturgy, we ask you
to bring your bags-full to your church pew and join in the procession during the Offertory when we
bring the bags up to the altar. If you are unable to attend the Thanksgiving mass, we invite you to bring your bag-full the weekends before or after Thanksgiving during your regular mass. There
will be large plastic bins at the church entrances at the weekend masses. Right after the Thanks-
giving Day mass, we will drive the food to the Hope-Net Pantry at Third and Oxford. We often
have as many as 400 to 500 bags-full. Taking the bags from the church to the cars/SUV's/pickup
trucks and from there to the Pantry and unloading them there takes about an hour. We could really
use your help! If you would like to help lead the procession at the special liturgy, please meet me at the Van Ness
entry to the church at 8:00 a.m. If you can help us load, and unload and drive the food to the Pantry, please come early so you can park in the parking lot as close to the church entrance as possible. It would be great if you can leave your trunk door open so when people come out after the mass,
they will know where to put the bags. Thanksgiv-ing is a special time to give thanks for all our
blessings and the Hope-Net Ministry thanks you so much in advance for your help and for your generosity at Thanksgiving and throughout the year.
