Chapter 1 Brief Introduction

1.1 Purpose

The WCDMA-RNC Engineering Design Guide is written for engineers of Huawei to finish WCDMA RNC system engineering design work.

1.2 Intended Audience

Note:

Engineering design work should be completed by the personnel who have product bases or by the guide of the personnel who have product bases. For some basic knowledge, there are no detailed descriptions in this guide.

1.3 Application Occasion

Before a site deployment, the system design contents should be completed. The main operators are wireless system design engineers and site deployment engineers.

1.4 Operation Specifications

(1) Execute according to the templates offered by Huawei strictly;

(2) The designs should be precise and detailed;

(3) Accord with related operation specifications of Huawei.

Chapter 2 Work for Engineering Design

For engineering design, the items in China are completed by the mobile carrier delegates them to the provincial design institute. And XX Project Technical Proposals is exported. For items outside China, the Marketing of Huawei completes the system design according to the suggestions of market technology team and technical support. The XX Project Technical proposals and the related logic networking diagram should be exported too; and then the Customer Service carries out the site survey. Additionally, the Site Survey Report is exported. According to Contract List BOQ, XX Project Technical Proposals and Site Survey Report, technical support engineering design team completes concrete engineering design documents. The networking diagrams in the engineering design documents should be reviewed by technical support.

2.2.2System Networking Diagram

1. Description

2.2.5Cabling Diagram of Equipment Room

1. Description

The function is to offer a cabling diagram of transmission cables during the project and guide site engineering installations.
