WC bert wood started the company in the year 1930.
It designed and manufacture small electrical equipments for
farms.
In 1950 it's business expanded in to hardware, military
equipment, farm equipment and home appliances.
In 1964-1974 it refocused on home appliances business.
In 1980 WC WOOD company had become Canada's largest
manufacture of chest freezer, upright freezer, and single door
refrigerators.
Later on WC WOOD became second largest freezer
manufacturer in north America and one of the top five in world.
Company focuses on increasing capacity and
decreasing cost across global.
Increasing the portion of component bought from
foreign suppliers & reducing cost.
Opened new production line in maxico to produce
product to compete import from china.
Refocused the business on home appliance and exited
all other business.
Problem in packaging design.
Increasing higher number of damaging product.
Most complain regarding scratch and dent.
Company offered $75 to dealer per claim with out
verifying, caused loose revenue.
Uncertain to take decision regarding use of clear pack.
Company should implement free home repair service
Use clear pack system.
Company should use MSK machine .
Company should not use heat system during packaging
time.
