Watercolor Snowflakes

Objectives

I can create using art media because I can create a snowflake collage with mixed

watercolor paints, coffee filters, scissors, and glue.

I can design snowflakes using the element of color because I can create primary, secondary, warm, analogous, cool, and

complementary colored snowflakes.

• Primary: 3 colors that can’t be mixed or formed by other colors• Secondary: 3 colors formed by mixing

primary colors• Tertiary: 6 colors formed by mixing a

primary and a secondary color• Analogous: Any 3 colors that are side

by side on a 12 part color wheel• Complementary: Any 2 colors that are

directly opposite each other on the color wheel• Tint: Any color mixed with white• Shade: Any color mixed with black
