Water Department Accomplishments:
-Monthly Drinking Water Samplings coordinated with Oak
Bluffs, in contact with Mass DEP about potential water test
sample site location change during transition of gas station
-Conducted water audits at the following locations: Landscope
Landscaping, Airport Fitness Center and Island Dentistry
Building. Ran reports of consumption for those businesses and
emailed findings to lease owners. Island Dentistry had a
leaking spigot that needs to be replaced. No leaks were found
at Airport Fitness Center, Conservation efforts were discussed
with both tenants. Landscope’s Water Meter Vault location
was unknown but was located and inspected, no leaks found
-Created a water conservation bill stuffer for tenants, See Attached for changes and approval
-New Big Sky Building now third largest consumer of water only after the Laundromat and Terminal
-Jeremy passed his VSS Very Small System Certification Exam in May
-Water Service for the new AARF building was tapped
-Coordinated Massachusetts Rural Water Association Instructor Jack Patch, to come to the island for a
two day course on: Very Small System, Treatment 1, Distribution 1 Course. We contacted all island water
departments inviting them to attend the course for 18 Training Contact Hours. Oak Bluffs and Edgartown
Water Department sent two employees each to attend.

Wastewater Accomplishments:
-Received quote for Office Furnace Replacement coordinated with Cape Compact Light/ Rise Engineering
for incentives, negotiating next steps and demo of old furnace
-Moving forward with replacement of plumbing and installation of new eye wash/shower stations
including frost proof station in the chemical storage room for work to be completed in the Fall of 2017.
-Pulled pump at pump station due to abnormal running conditions and high amperage, found a terry
cloth shop rag wrapped about the pump impeller, called Bay State
Towing to assist as the pump weights 200+lbs and is inaccessible by
other means of lifting
-Made flyer for tenants regarding what is acceptable to flush down the
system, after finding additional items such as envelopes in the influent
bar screen -Replaced deteriorated wiring at pump station controller
-Investigating cause of increased flow spikes between July 6th-9th

Terminal Entrance Mat removal and Replacement
Terminal Roof Repair
-Coordinated with AECOM for information needed for replacement of HVAC System
for process room including demolition and excavation of Sludge Drying Bed Area.
Replacement of Roofing of Sludge Holding Tank and Dosing Tanks moving forward
allowing for increase safety during operations and less rain water infiltration,
saving money in sludge removal.
-Completed Annual Monitoring Well Sampling
Facilities Accomplishments
-Ordered and installed door mat in entrance to
the terminal, working around flight schedules to
replace the remaining three mats.
-Roof temporary remediation project continues, South
Side 90% completed, continuing to North Side
-Fire sprinkler alarm panel service underway with ESS will return for work on 7/26

-Oversaw pump out of Plane View grease trap, working on adjusting
maintenance schedule for new lease agreement
-Met with Premier Fence for quotes for replacing automatic vehicle
slide gates
-Caterpillar semi-annual service contract signed and maintenance
completed.
-Terminal Generator in desperate need of new enclosure due to rain
water infiltration, long overdue. Milton Cat visited to spec out
replacing and working on logistics of craning it in from the North Side
of the Terminal near the Planeview
-Awaiting quote return for a replacement Pilot Lounge Door
to match current style of other entry doors.
-Switched out bathroom doors with other doors in the
building to eliminate the open venting
-Cleaned downspouts in the Terminal extensively removing
large debris
-Stanley Glass to come out and repair problems with
automatic terminal doors 7/14
-Assisted Tetra Tech with Marking our downgradient and
hand boring sampling sites for wells
