InTrOdUcTiOn In this booklet I am to talk about what is water resources, good and bad uses of water resources, information about it, how to conserve and that is not even the half!!!!! …because in the world water is one of the most important natural resource, and the next war is going to be for WATER!!!!!!

That are useful or potentially useful resources to HUMANS. Uses of water include AGRICULTURAL, INDUSTRIAL HOUSEHOLD, RECREATIONAL and ENVIROMENTALactivities.

UsEs Of WaTeR ReSoUrCeSAgRiCuLtUrAl:In some areas

of the world irrigation is necessary to grow any crop at all, in other areas it permits more profitable crops to be grown or enhances crop yield.

Irrigation: the artificial application of water to land to assist in the production of crops.

InDuStRiAl:Water is used in power generation. Hydroelectricity is electricity obtained from hydropower. Hydroelectric power comes from water driving a water turbine connected to a generator.Hydroelectric: pertaining to the generation and distribution of electricity derived from the energy of falling water or any other hydraulic source.

HoUsEhOlD: Basic household water requirements have been estimated by Peter Gleick at around 50 liters per person per day, excluding water for gardens. Drinking water is water that is of sufficiently high quality so that it can be consumed or used without risk of immediate or long term harm.

Liters: a unit of capacity

ReCrEaTiOn:. Recreational water use is mostly tied to reservoirs. If a reservoris is kept fuller than it would otherwise be for recreation, then the water retained could be categorized as recreational usage.  Reservoris: a natural or artificial place where water is collected and stored.

EnViOrMeNtAl Explicit environmental water use is also a very small but growing percentage of total water use. Environmental water usage includes artificial wetlands, artificial lakes intended to create wildlife habitat, and water releases from reservoirs timed to help fish spawn.

Spawn: the mass of eggs deposited by fishes, amphibians, mollusks, crustaceans, etc.

Fresh water is a Renewable Resource, Water demand already Exceeds Supply in many parts of the world and as the World Population continues to rise, Awareness of the global importance of preserving Water for Ecosystem, Services has only recently emerged as, during the 20th century, more than half the world’s Wetlands have been lost along with their valuable environmental services !¡!¡!¡!. Biodiversity-rich Fresh water ecosystems are currently declining faster than Marine or land ecosystems The framework for allocating water resources to water users is known as water rights.

1. Check faucets and pipes for leaks 2. Don't use the toilet as an ashtray

or wastebasket 3. Check your toilets for leaks 4. Use your water meter to check

for hidden water leaks 5. Install water-saving shower

heads and low-flow faucet aerators  6. Take shorter showers.

we do not have water directly from municipal water, only from reserve tank

ExTrA InFo SuRfAcE wAtEr: is water in a river, lake or fresh water wetland. Surface water is naturally replenished by precipitation and naturally lost through discharge to the oceans, evaporation, and sub-surface seepage.

Seepage: the act or process of seeping; leakage.

UnDeR RiVeR FlOw:Throughout the course of the river, the total volume of water transported downstream will often be a combination of the visible free water flow together with a substantial contribution flowing through sub-surface rocks and gravels that underlie the river and its floodplain called the hyporheic zone.Floodplain:a nearly flat plain along the course of a stream or river that is naturally subject to flooding.

GrOuNd WaTeR:Sub-surface water, or groundwater, is fresh water located in the pore space of soil and rocks. It is also water that is flowing with in a quifers below the water table.

DeSaLeTiOn:is an artificial process by which saline water (generally sea water) is converted to fresh water. The most common desalination processes are distillation and reverse osmosis.

Several schemes have been proposed to make use of icebergs as a water source, however to date this has only been done for novelty purposes. Glacier runoff is considered to be surface water.

Problem: people is thinking that in the world we have to much water that we can survive… but we are wrong the water is disappearing this can’t happened!¡!¡!

Objective: we can help the world keep one of the most important sources of life (water)

Need: That the government of the sate could help that the

water is not wasting. Possible Solution: 1. Make a campaign to make

students aware that there are wasting water. 

2. Go back to the Mayor's letter to make a good maintenance or change of water supply network in our area.
