Nonpoint Source (NPS) – water pollution from nonpoint sources, such as the polluted run-off from urban, agriculture, and forest lands.

Impaired Waterbodies

Integrated Report – federal Clean Water Act requires biennial report to Congress identifying impaired lakes and stream segments.

Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) – a calculation of the maximum amount of a pollutant that a waterbody can receive and still meet water quality standards, and an allocation of that amount to the pollutant's sources.
