Objective

To design and implement a water pump controller with water level display

circuit to indicate and control different levels in a tank.

Introduction

It is a circuit which indicates three different water levels in a over head tank.

It check the availability of water in an under ground tank and operates the pump.

It consist of an input section, scanning section, under ground water detector,

pump controller and display.

Working

Circuit consists of a 555 timer configured as an astable multivibrator.

555 timer receives input from 7805 IC as +5v DC and produces

square waves.

Output of the 555 to the IC2 and IC8 ( CD4017 I ).

Three wires to the over head tank indicates three levels of water with

the help of CD4017 (IC8).

Output of the IC8 and IC2 is given to the AND gate (7408)

Output of the AND gate is fed in to the led

Transistor T2 check the availability of water in UGT

Pump operate depends up on the output of AND gate and Transistor T2

Water pump controller with water level display circuit has to be implemented in

PCB.

Conclusion

It is a water level indicator pump controller circuit that indicates three different

levels in a over head tank. A connection runs to the under ground tank to check

the availability of water in the tank before operating the pump and

the pump operates only when there is water in the under ground tank.
