2. It is widespread in the freshwaters of Europe but it prefers warm-temperate climates of the extratropical regions of the northern hemisphere. In fact it is more marsh aquatic as. it is a species that can easily withstand temporary lowering of the water level. 3. is a hardy species native to Asia and Australia, known commonly under the name of Lotus Asia. It is an aquatic plant growing fast, typical of ponds and flooded with stagnant water or almost no current, the color of its petals MAY BE YELLOW RED PINK OR WHITE 4. (Alisma plantago-aquatica), also known as mad-dog weed, is a perennial flowering plant native to most of the Northern Hemisphere, in Europe, northern Asia, and North America. It is found on mud or in fresh waters. The word alisma is said to be a word of Celtic origin meaning "water", a reference to the habitat in which it grows. Early botanists named it after the Plantago because of the similarity of their leaves. 5. Apium nodiflorum, (synonym Helosciadium nodiflorum) commonly called Fool's-water-cress is a flowering plant found in ditches or streams and native to western Europe. It is a low-growing or prostrate perennial with pinnate leaves which have a vague resemblance to those of watercress. Apium nodiflorum has short-stalked umbels of very small white 5- petalled flowers which are opposite the leaves and grow from the side of the stem at the leaf axils. It blooms in July and August 6. Baldellia ranunculoides is found along the Atlantic coast of Western Europe, and along the Mediterranean coast of North Africa. Baldellia ranunculoides, the lesser water-plantain, is a species of flowering plant in the family Alismataceae. 7. is a widespread aquatic plant found across Eurasia, Africa, North America, and elsewhere. It is a perennial plant forming stolons at the base where it roots in mud, often underwater. 8. Variable in shape and size, are scattered in tropical coastal waters where they form trottoir (as in the Red Sea), atolls (as in the Polynesian islands) or barriers (as in the case of Australia, the Great Barrier Reef). These colonies are generally typical of very bright and warm waters, although little is enduring the high temperatures that the pollution that leads, in fact, at their death, and thus, their sedimentation. 9. It is an aquatic plant provided with floating roots, which, in case of scarcity of water, can be anchored to the substrate. The fruit is a berry oval, containing tiny seeds. 10. The Stratiotes Aloides is a species of submerged aquatic plant, native to Asia's north-west. Plants are very suitable for ponds or aquariums cold. The St. Aloides has a tight rosette of leaves and produces white flowers in summer.
