Cutting-edge technology: The way of the future

If you could deliver a project with minor disruption, eliminating problematic variables, would you? Yes! And with water-jetting, you can. Used to deploy mini-fibre, water-jetting brings you the fastest method of delivery through many different environments. From inner city infrastructure, large building complexes like hospitals, to transportation and highway networks; water-jetting can propel fibre to distances up to 4.5kms at a time. What does this mean? It means faster results, less disruption, and reduced costs overall. It’s cutting edge technology and the way of the future.

Let’s talk tech

Our water-jetting is performed using the MiniJet-P02. It’s specifically designed for laying telecommunications cables; be it optic fibre, coaxial, or multiport. The, “jetting”, part of this equation, consists of a mechanical pushing force, and high speed water stream along the cable surface: Propelling the fibre through ducts faster than we could ever dream of when using traditional hauling.

We’re going places

With Projects deploying fibre between Maitland to Weavers Hill, Keith to Bordertown, and the city’s western suburbs to Torrens Island, Enerven has installed approximately 180kms of fibre using this emerging technology, and we want you to be a part of it.

Less disruption – fewer variables

Until recently, traditional hauling methods of fibre across vast distances and densely populated areas has been laborious of time, and inconvenient for people and systems. By utilising this new technology, we can deploy kilometres of fibre, literally, right beneath your feet; and all without disrupting major infrastructure. In the time it takes to eat your lunch, thousands of meters of fibre can be delivered: Expanding networks. Changing lives.

The low-down on land owners

With no need for secondary access to land after trenching, we minimise disruption to property owners, and decrease project time by cutting out the need to re-negotiate further access. We don’t need to climb walls when we can easily go under them. It’s smart work, saving you money.

Mini fibre. Minimal man-power

Already having many distinct advantages to cable hauling, water-jetting also requires minimal labour. A 4-man crew can install up to 8kms of fibre a day, minus the usual stress of traditional methods. Small hauling crews can also install fibre over large distances: Deploying up to 40km per week.

Small fibre. Big positives

Small things can bring big rewards. With the cable used in water-jetting being approximately 7mm in diameter, coils are smaller; this means smaller joints and pits too. It takes up less space, and benefits infrastructure costs.

We can also bury the fibre duct directly with other services: Eliminating the need for conduit. Or, the fibre can be hauled into existing conduits. If we need to redirect fibre? No problem; it can easily be redirected to other pits, simply by joining tubes together. We can place up to 4x144 fibre cables into the size of a 30mm subduct. This means less hassle and less fuss when duct space needs to be obtained by a 3rd party.

Going the extra mile

Taking you to the next level in fibre installation, the advent of water-jetting means you can install up to about 8km of fibre without any joints. Deploying fibre over large distances is not the only plus; Add speed to the mix and you have a winning combination: Lots of fibre, deployed fast!

Not only can we install around 8km of fibre per day, we also only need to access it across 3 pit locations: A real bonus for built up areas with intricate infrastructure.

“No need for pipe proving or rod and rope.

No hauling tensions on cable”
