INTRODUCTION

This guidebook is produced to provide information regarding the creation andproduction of the Official Watchmen Of America patches.

All of our patches and the graphics associated with them are trademarked andare property of the Watchmen Of America and any violation, misrepresentation, unauthorized use, etc is punishable by all applicable copyright laws under federal guidelines.

The information here goes to explain the “origins” in the design of our signature triangle patch and the various meanings of elements dictated in the patch shape and design.

Samples are provided as guides for State Group Commanders to help them customize the color choices for their State Group use. We also show the samples of Nationally recognized and used patches for Watchmen National Officers and Staff, etc.

Additionally you will find patch concepts for specialized units, programs, operations, etc. Some of which are already officially established and some that are merely on the drawing board for consideration.

We hope this guide helps you with the necessary information regarding our patches as you move forward and learn more about their use, assignments and applications.

HISTORY AND SYMBOLISM OF THE WATCHMEN PATCHWATCHMEN PATCH SYMBOLS AND MEANINGS

Patches are always unique in their creation and often times represent some sort of symbolism for the purpose in which they are created. Various different Aspects of a Patch will usually represent the organizations' ideology or beliefs.

I have often been asked if there are specific meanings or symbolism with the Watchmen Patch design. As with most patches, ours have certain details that carry special meanings and symbolism. Below is an explanation of the Ideas and foundations from which the Watchmen Triangle Patch was created.

It all started one day, when I was thinking about the patch design, that I stumbled across this image........

This image depicts the Elite Cabal of the New World Order Presiding Over the PEOPLE in an Elite Status with the People being beneath them at the bottom as basically Slaves. These Elitists tend to use the upright triangle or pyramid a lot in their Logos, Symbolism, motifs, etc.

So naturally, I decided that the "Opposite" to this would be the inverted Triangle, which would place "The People" over the Rulers or Governing Powers that be. This is as it should be according to our Founding Fathers.

June 8, 1789First. That there be prefixed to the Constitution a declaration, that all power is originally

vested in, and consequently derived from, the people.That Government is instituted and ought to be exercised for the benefit of the people; whichconsists in the enjoyment of life and liberty, with the right of acquiring and using property,

and generally of pursuing and obtaining happiness and safety.That the people have an indubitable, unalienable, and indefeasible right to reform or change

their Government, whenever it be found adverse or inadequate to the purposes of itsinstitution.

For this reason, I decided to use the Triangle Inverted to represent the Opposite viewpoint that the People (widest part of the triangle) are above the Governmentand the Power is always vested within the People.

The Triangle has been since early civilizations, the symbol of the Trilogy or the Triad that makes all existence possible. The Man, the woman and the Creative Power. It has a dual meaning as the Essence of Democracy as the Two (points) outweigh the vote of the One (point.)

This means the Elimination of Unsettled Division between two opposing views and that "no one person shall rule over all". Then came the center of the patch. Here I thought long and hard of the proper symbolism that I felt would Represent the People in the most profound way considering our current situation and the Nation as a whole.

This lead me to the idea of using a "Diamond" shape, especially since it fit within the patterned shape of the inverted Triangle perfectly.

We have all heard the term, "A Diamond Lasts Forever".

In ancient Native American Symbolism, the Diamond motif conveyed the element of Rebirth, Revitalization, Spiritual Stability and Devotion. The Goal for mankind is to walk a path on which our souls will shine and sparkle as brightly as diamonds.

The Diamond is also commonly referred to as the "hardest Substance known to mankind", which would represent our Resolve to be Free and an unbreakableBond and Spirit as Brothers and Sisters and Americans.

Lastly, I just added the letter "W" in the center to complete the Patch.Representing the single individual "Watchmen" encompassed by the whole, further reinforcing the True Spirit of Protection, Unity and Brotherhood.

We try to maintain this symbolism in most, if not all of our Patches as they areproduced and released over time. I hope this sheds light on the topic for those who have asked, as nothing is always as simple as it seems.

ORGANIZATIONAL PATCH GUIDEWHAT EXACTLY ARE ALL THESE PATCHES?

More Patch designs have been appearing in various places on Facebook, ChatRooms, etc. and people are asking, "What Do The Various Patches Stand For?"

We have a great number of Unit Patches, National Staff Level Patches, GroupPatches, etc. designed and planned for use. We have been slowly releasing theimages and folks are grabbing them and using them as Avatars, Icons, etc. Keep inmind that some patches are only designed for specific uses and should NOT be usedpublicly in any manner.

Included here, are a few Sample designs of some of the Patches we have thatare currently issued to specific units and staff members of varying status asgraphics they can use. We have literally dozens more designs that will be released intime.

(SOG ) - SPECIAL OPERATIONS GROUP PATCHES

Among the many various Official Watchmen patches, are the specific onesused for Specialty Programs or Group Operations. One such Nationally known groupis our exclusive (FPG) FAMILY PROTECTION GROUP.

This is a form of (SRT) Special Response Team that is uniquely trained anddesignated for certain special operations. This type of unit is sometimes referred toas a (QRT) or Quick Response Team. We chose to use our own terminology by callingthem SRT's.

There are basically TWO (2) forms of these units. While both of them are Stateoperated, and specifically trained under the responsibility of the State Commanderhowever, the (FPG) Family Protection Group is part of a National Program thatworks within a National Network guided by National Standards.

The normal (SRT) Special Response Team is a Specific State Group unit whichis designed for specific duties, operations and security at the State Group Level Onlyand has nothing to do with the FPG Program.

DESIGNING YOUR STATE GROUP PATCH

Many State Chapters prefer to have their own State related Watchmen Patchfor their membership. We have included here a guide to assist you in designing yourown Group Patches.

Basically, anyone with the standard Watchmen patch (with the "W" in thecenter) is considered an Individual National Watchmen Member. Therefore ifsomeone is wearing a Triangle patch that has State Initials in the center, this meansthey are an Official State Group Member.

We have a standard format for the State Designation patches, which basicallycan be any color, but has to have the diamond and the State Abbreviation Initials inthe center. (see samples below) It is advised that you create two separate StatePatches, one in a colored version for general use in graphic representations foryour State Group such as on your website, letterhead, business cards, etc.The other being a subdued version for actual use on camo field uniforms.

When working toward getting your patches made it would be best to considerobtaining your subdued patches first since they would be the priority, and save thecolor patches for later, if money is an issue.

Groups often select their State colors when designing their color patches, but you can choose any colors you want.

There are basically 5 (five) different components to the Standard Watchmen triangle patch as shown below. These are the items you will need to select colors for.

You can choose the colors for each of these components to create various unique color combinations for almost any style, especially with the color patches.

ORDERING/PURCHASING YOUR STATE GROUP PATCHES

As a service to our State Group Members, we offer them the ability to ordertheir Official State Group patches through the Watchmen of America, in order tosave them a large amount of money on their patch purchase.

We assist them in the graphic design and submitting it for a “sew-outsample” for your approval. The relationship we have with our vendor allows us toprovide many services at no cost to the State Group. Normally, patch companiescharge extra fees for artwork, artwork adjustments, set-up fees, template fees,adding things such as velcro to the back of the patches, etc. Using the Watchmen ofAmerica to make your patch purchase eliminates all these added fees andreducing the overall cost per patch when you order 100 each or more.

Another “extra” that patch companies charge is for “splitting orders.” They willcharge extra for making 50 each Color version patches and 50 each Subduedversion patches in the same 100 each order. By ordering your patches through usyou DO NOT have to pay these additional fees.

You can submit your patch color choices and Order by contacting Freebyrd,the 1ST Officer of Watchmen of America. You can do this by submitting yourrequirements using the provided form inside the exclusive Commanders Area of theWatchmen website.

“Use Our Buying Power To Save Money”

We recommend that ALL STATE GROUPS, participate in their own “Fund Raising” program by re-selling their State Group patches to their State Group Members. The current going rate is for State Group Members is: $5.00 per patch.

This is a price standard set by the National Organization in order to keep patch prices consistent across the country. Please do NOT charge the State Group members more than the set price.

The current average price for 100 each State Group patches is: $187.00 or $1.87per patch

We also can process your order and create a Payment Plan for making thepurchase more affordable, when you get ready to obtain your patches.

The total amount is spread over 4 monthly payments of: $ 46.75

NOTE: PRICE IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE ACCORDING TO VENDOR MARKET PRICING.

Patch Acquisition and Representation Protocol

The Watchmen Of America National organization maintains explicit controlof the design, manufacturing and/or production of any and ALL patches andpromotional material that is directly related to representing the Nationalorganization and any of it's officially sanctioned State Groups, affiliates and ourtrademark(s).

This means that ALL official organization patches have to be ordered andproduced through the Watchmen of America and it's exclusive long time vendor. Wehave spent years developing an excellent relationship with our patch provider andwe have been able to maintain an excellent pricing schedule as well as having manyof the normally associated production fees waived. We are more than confident thatour vendor is very competitive in this particular market area and provides us themost economical solution for the best quality results.

Any and ALL Official organization patches, such as Officers patches,Commander patches, Staff patches, Standard trademark patches, Medic patches,Comms patches, Family Protection Group (FPG) patches, Special Response Team(SRT) patches, etc. will be exclusively produced by the Watchmen of America ONLYand shall be made available to our Members, National Staff, Commanders and StateGroup Members according to normal protocol whether the patches are provided freeof charge or incur a fee for WOA Sales revenue.

While State Groups are allowed to acquire their own Uniform Name Tapes,Moral patches, etc. from any vendor they like, if they are in need of specific OfficialWatchmen of America Patches, they are required to order them through theorganization.

We appreciate everyone's cooperation with this policy and procedure. Anyonefound to be in violation of producing officially trademarked material, includingPatches, T-Shirts, Polo Shirts, Ball Caps, Jackets, Stickers, or any other form ofpromotional products using the logos or trademarks of the Watchmen of America,without prior written authorization, shall be subject to a Formal Board Review.
