DESCRIPTION Monitor bearing temperature, belt speed and belt alignment on up

to 8 Watchdog control units. Temperatures will automatically be

logged every 10, 60, or 300 seconds (user selectable). Bearing

temperatures can be automatically printed every 1, 8, or 24 hours

(this option can be disabled). All alarms are logged and date

stamped. Additionally, preventative maintenance (PM) messages

are provided to alert operators of scheduled maintenance based

on actual machine run time hours instead of calendar days.

Quick Tip #1:

Termination Resistors are required at both ends of the network. At

each end there should be one resistor across A & B. There should

be another resistor across Y & Z.

NOTE: The wireless RS485-RF4 contains built-in termination

resistors which are enabled by a dipswitch. External termination

resistors are not necessary on this unit only.*

Quick Tip #2:

The shield / drain wire should be continuous throughout the

network, but only terminated to ground at one location. For

simplicity, you should connect this ground to terminal 16 on the

Watchdog nearest to the PC.

Quick Tip #3:

You Can Program up to 5 Planned Maintenance tags for each

Watchdog. Each time one is reached, it will alert the operator and

print / log the time of the alert and the acknowledgement.

Quick Tip #4:

The printer must be set up to operate on COM Port 1. This will be

connected to the computer via a 9-pin to 25-pin Null Modem

Cable.
