Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Classes start in early August!

JOB OUTLOOK: Job opportunities for Wastewater

Treatment Plant and Systems operators are expected

to be excellent. Regional population growth and a

large number of retirees will feed the demand for new

workers. (U.S. Dept of Labor ).

STARTING WAGE: Locally, Wastewater Treatment

Plant Operators-in-Training earn $15.98 per hour.

Once certified workers can earn $51,976 per year.

TRAINING PROGRAM: This Wastewater Treatment

Plant Operator training program will provide required

classroom instruction for up to Grade III certification.

Curriculum includes technical math, science and

wastewater treatment process courses. On-the-job

training following this program will be required to

complete the certification process.

CLASS SCHEDULE: Classes will be held at the Victor

Valley Community College campus and Victor Valley

Wastewater Reclamation District Plant in Victorville.
