Principle: “Polluter pays”
Reduce WasteEnvironmental Levy Scheme on Plastic Shopping Bags was introduced since 7-July-2009. Introduce an environmental levy of 50 cents on each
plastic shopping bag at the retail level, with the first phase covering chain or large supermarkets, convenience stores and personal healthy and beauty product stores.

Reduce Waste In 2006, the mixed construction waste accounts for
about 20% of the total waste intake at the three existing landfills.

Launched) Construction waste producers, such as construction
contractors, renovation contractors or premises owners, prior to using government waste disposal facilities, need to open a billing account with the Environmental Protection Department and pay for the construction waste disposal charge.
