The bully doesn’t get to decide whether or not someone is a

victim. The person being bullied gets to decide.

• Tell the bully to STOP. He/She might not be aware they are being a bully.• If it continues or you still feel uncomfortable, tell an adult.• Bullying is NEVER ok.

Graffiti/VandalismThe bottom line is if you damage school or other

people’s property, you are guilty of vandalism

Vandalism is the willful destruction of public or

private property.

Graffiti is drawings or writings scratched, scribbled, or drawn on a wall or other

Electronic devices include any device that is used for audio, video, or text communication, cell phones, smart phones, pagers, cameras, CD players, pocket PCs, DVD or video players, MP3 players, iPods, PSPs, etc.

At Washington Elementary:• Students may have and use electronic devices.• They may not use them during the school day. This includes recess, lunchtime, and while in the halls. They must be completely powered down, turned off, and kept out of sight.• Electronic devices may be used before the first bell and after the final bell as long as they do not create a distraction or disruption.• Electronic devices may not be used in a way that contributes to bullying or other unacceptable behaviors.

At Washington Elementary:• Students who violate this rule may have the electronic device taken away by a school employee.• If a student’s device is taken away, it will be returned only to the students’ parent or guardian.• If a student’s device is taken away repeatedly, he/she may not be allowed to bring it on school grounds permanently.

The following consequences may happen when a student breaks the rules we’ve talked about today:• Parents notified • Prohibited from participating in some school activities• In- or out-of-school suspension• Expelled from school• Moved to another school• Referred to police• Other interventions as deemed appropriate
