Washington's answer to Bal Harbour and Rodeo Drive, Mazza Gall erie offers cosmopolitan shopping in a sophisticated atmosphere.

Inspired by the Viennese modern art revolution of the 1910 period, this strikingly slick, black-and-white tiled landmark of the Chevy Chase cross-roads provides an eclectic collection of specialty stores within a pleasant shopping environment. Under its skylit atrium and through-out its four levels, shoppers find an abundance of innovative and classic international fashions, and gifts that range from practical to panache. Also available at the Gallerie are home furnishings, exotic specialty foods, gourmet cookware, distinctive dining, deli-catessen and fast-food fare, and travel and beauty servrces.

Mazza Gallerie's major stores are Neiman-Marcus and Raleighs. The renowned Dallas-based Neiman-Marcus offers original designer fashions, jewelry and shoes, imaginative gifts and home ac-cessories. Raleighs, a respected Washington clothier since 1911, specializes in high quality fashions for men and women.

Exclusive boutiques and specialty stores feature couture linens, a records, tobaccos, books,

games, unique toys and whimsical delights. Fashion finds include custom designed fashions in fine im-ported fabrics, leather clothing and accessories, high fashion eyewear, designer active wear and children's wear, and trendy clothing for juniors.

Gallerie stores place importance on shopper conveniences. Many provide expert tailoring, ship-ping of purchases and a multilingual staff.

Mazza Gallerie also spells. entertainment. There will be three new KB theaters opening this holiday season, featuring critically acclaimed international films. In support of the arts and the community, the Gallerie sponsors fashion shows, concerts, seminars, and art and antique shows. Special events often are hosted by celebrity artists, authors, chefs, and entertainers.

Holiday seasons are celebrated with enthusiasm and attention to tradition at Mazza Gallerie. Festivities provide additional pleasure without in-terfering with serious shopping.

Located at Wisconsin and Western Avenues, Mazza Gallerie can be reached with ease from the city and the suburbs of Maryland and Virginia. The Metro's Friendship Heights Station, on the Red Line, is at Mazza Galleria's doorstep. The Colonial ~arking garage offers four levels of indoor park-Ing, with elevator service to Gall erie stores. Two hours of customer parking are gratis.
